That's what I am thinking. I have both LIft and Descale as well as Gyeon Foam and KCx Reactive soap. The de icer does sound nice but we don't get much weather as a rule, however we got pounded this past week :( ugh. I do love the Gyeon stuff I have currently, Bathe is an excellent soap, Wet Coat works beautifully, I like their Iron remover and surface prep. Can Coat is an excellent lightweight coating. I'm going to make a separate post about winter salt removal shortly to get a general consensus on how to proceed since I don't see it much..Haha, good ol Pan. He does know his stuff so I won’t knock him for that and it sounded like he got early access to some of their new products. Now, does that early access have an impact on his thoughts? Probably. But Gyeon makes good stuff so there’s probably not a lot to critique anyways.
The de-icer looks to be good and I want to try their traffic film remover, especially with the road salt we have here. I assume it’s not much different than Carpro Descale or Lift, which I have already.
I power wash as much off as I can first, then do a pre-wash soak with Lift or Descale, let it dwell for as long as I can then rinse. Regular soap out of the cannon this time and this time wash by hand also. Basically, I try to get as much of the salt off as I can before a contact wash so I don’t get any micro scratches. Seems to work pretty well, I don’t have any noticeable scratches on my paint. If the weather doesn’t warm up enough for me to wash at home, I have a touchless car wash less than a mile from my house. I goes there, get most of the salt off then come home and do a rinse less wash with my pump sprayer and sponge. That's what I am thinking. You will note that I linked the official Gyeon version, and not the same video posted on his channel. That was for a reason!Lots of interesting new products and reformulations. I really like the Gyeon stuff I have used already, have quite a bit on hand. My biggest problem is using chosing which one to use next since I only maintain a couple of carsI am more and more loving the DIY detail stuff, much simpler.
Was really on board til I saw Pan the Advertiser being a huge part of the video LOL.![]()
I watched both, I’m a glutton for punishmentYou will note that I linked the official Gyeon version, and not the same video posted on his channel. That was for a reason!![]()
