For someone that isnt going to even use a non pp gt to its max potential why on earth do they need to drop 2500 more on something they wont use?
Where do you draw the line as far as using a car to its max potential? Why do they "need" a v8? Why do they "need" a Mustang at all? They don't. No one does in reality.

Why buy pp if youre only going to daily drive it like a normal person? I said for the op to get a pp if he likes a road course or twisties. Whats hard to get?

Pp owners are touchy.

why buy a v8 then? why not go buy a ford fusion then? why not get this? why not get that? end of the day pp is a bargain regardless of how you use it and it only benefits you...especially the brakes.

I never try and tell anyone what's "not worth it" regarding these cars. Buying a Mustang already shows that you're buying something at least partially based on emotion, because it makes you happy. I'll happily tell people what my experiences are if they ask, or why I bought my particular car, but that only matters from my point of view. That's why I'm "touchy" when people start telling other people that they're being dumb and wasting money on certain options/packages.

Bottom line (from my perspective) If you drive like a granny and a GT350R makes you happy, and you can afford it, it's not a waste. What makes you happy is likely different from what makes me happy. Rock on!

Maybe because they think the big brakes are pretty, the dash is pretty, the gauges are pretty, the PP wheels are pretty, and they make 10x what you make. Who cares?

What makes you think I was talking about myself? My car isn't really a daily driver (well....sometimes), it's being built into an ESP class racecar. Just trying to get you outside your own point of view.

OP, I have the PP and I learned how to drive a manual in this car.

Driving around town or causing with the PP feels completely natural and I live in southern Cali, where it is heavily populated. I don't track or race my car either.

When I bought the car, I also considered to get or not get the PP. Everything you get in the package is a major bargain and if it's not about the lack of money....GET IT!

Don't listen to all those that say you have to constantly row through gears and it's a headache driving in town...It's not, those people over exaggerate.

LOL I don't get buying a manual and then complaining about shifting gears. Buy a Auto and you'll never have to row a single gear if this is an issue.

I tried not replying to this thread due to the bickering but I just couldn't resist lol.

I purchased the PP and changed the following:

Wheels: switched to option 20's temporarily (hate black) and soon to get my MRR GT350 wheels.

Springs: replaced with Steeda

Shocks: rears changed to Viking. Fronts to be Viking struts if all goes well.

Sway bars: changed to Steeda.

IRS: changes to Steeda and BMR parts.

Gears: changed to 3.31

Strut tower brace: removed for Whipple installation.

My point is most people are going to change things for their own reason wether they get PP or not.

I do not track or drag my car and I never considered PP for this at all.

I wanted PP for:

Gauge pack

Brembos

Bigger radiator

Torsen rear end.

So, with the only remaining PP parts I have they would without a doubt cost me more than $2,500 to get. Hell, it cost me $3,500 to upgrade my 05' brakes (front & rear) to Wilwood. So for me, even though I changed quite a few parts it was completely worth it to me. Might sound silly, but one of my favorite features is the gauge pack and I would get it all over again just for that.

OP just do yourself a favor and list the PP items and decide what is important and what isn't. It may be less expensive to not get PP and upgrade only the parts you want. If the Brembos alone are on your must have list then it's a no brainier to get the PP
