Good Morning!

Got a text from the dealer this morning.... guess what Santa left under the tree? I want to thank everyone for helping me out with finding this Shelby, Inspecting this Shelby and getting this Shelby home! I will have more thank you's and a detailed write up coming soon!

Now on to business lol.... I want to have the dealer install the Gurney Flap... (I did not get a chance to order the handling pkg) I have read a few threads on this mysterious flap, and even found a part number. For the life of me, I can not get the part number to populate a link on google. I know I had found the flap at Ford Performance for around $160 at some point? If anyone can help me find a link, I would love to have the dealer instal this flap before I have the Shelby picked up for transport. Again I appreciate everyones help and, this has all been an amazing ride!

Thank You!

p.s. this dealer also has a Shelby 500 on the showroom floor for sale.

Even if you get it later on, it’s literally 4 Torx bit screws that holds it on.

You take out the 4 shorter screws already on the spoiler, and install the flap with four new longer screws. Takes 5 minutes

Agree with @Davesvt2000 Highly recommend you install your self. No harder than chnaging a light bulb. If you don't have a torx to fit it, you'll likely want to get one so you can put it on and take it off at will.

Agree with both above as some have had it installed with the short screws. Very easy to install yourself.

Ordering dealer was gone to order one for me at cost($160) and throw it on before my transport arrives.... but.... they are back ordered till mid Jan. I'll order one from a local dealer, and (as recommended) install myself.

Unless you are tracking the car, all it will do is decrease your mpg’s anyways.

Oh Dealer might not install it, It says Track use only on it
I had them put it on mine before I picked it up. They had a paper with a highlighted section that said the Gurney flap was "for track use only" and made me acknowledge that they had explained this to me. I thought that was hilarious. It's literally lip on the spoiler. Guy at the dealership said he just didn't want it to come off on the road. I looked at him and asked him if it was supposed to be used at track speeds then what would happen at highway speed?

Did anyone have trouble getting their (non ordering) dealer to install their front splitter? My ordering dealer did not install because, I still have to transport it again. I plan to schmooze the local dealer because we will be buying two tops (hard/soft) for our Bronco.
