I just want a rail gun mounted to the front of my car. Use it on every smacked jams up the passing lane and won't move over.
Agreed!

I actually took a tape measure with me for the test drive so I could see if my longest rifle case would fit. It did, and now there is a Mustang in my garage. :headbang:

It does kind of suck to see guns and ammo so cheap right now but not be able to "buy it cheap and stack it deep" because I have a car payment. But it's not like I don't already have enough to arm the whole block. I did just buy a L1A1.

I sold off most of my weapons. Down to just two now... But I love S&W and the M&P line up. I had a full size .45 and a Compact .40. I sold them to get my Pro Series 1911 .45. I loved both of them but really wanted a 1911 and didn't want to drop the full amount for one so had to sell something to get it. I had a both S&W Bodyguards .380 and .38. Sold those to put towards my S&W MP15. Which I just sold for some mods on my Mustang. I also had one of the first Sigma's back in the day. That was my first starter weapon haha. And a Taurus TCP that isn't worth mentioning in my opinion lol used to keep that in the bathroom next to the shitter just bc. But that was a while back before the kid came along haha. Used to have guns scattered all over the house. But those days are gone. Only ones I have left:
S&W Pro Series 1911 .45
S&W Pro Series M&P 9mm
And they are in a safe now. I love both of them and don't see me every selling them. Since they are both too big for me to conceal comfortably I'm looking to pick up a Shield next for EDC. And looking at a home defense shot gun in the near future.

I'm not really a gun or car nut. Love both of them but I normally spend money other places these days. Hell, I moved to MD... life changed for me. :-(

Far as guns though, I have my fair share....

- Glock 40
- Moss 500 shotgun
- AK-47
- 270 with a nice scope (times I need to reach out and touch something... like a beer can)
- 22 derringer, 6 shot revolver (scariest gun I own, but when I carry it is always available, no matter what I wear)
- 22 Long rifle
- 16g single shot shotgun
- Compound bow with arrows, of course

And some other guns scattered here and there on the east coast.

For handguns I simply love glock. Owned many of them over the years. I will more than likely get a 9mm "baby" glock at some point. I do want a 357 revolver since I don't have a revolver (unless you count the derringer). I would like a double barrel "Stagecoach" gun as well... they are cool to look at.

Love the moss 500 for home protection... great shotgun.

Think I'm "over" assault rifles. Don't think I'll ever own an AR... I own the AK after getting it on sale in the middle of no place in NC WAY back in the day. Fun gun to shoot, if you want to cut down trees. lol

Got a couple AR-15 builds happening right now, and a real gem of a rifle on order. Get 'em now while you can, I say.

Yeah, I kind of want to build a few for no other reason than I think it is going to get more difficult in the future.

Do it, man. You can buy AR lowers for less than $90, including good brands. I've got a few Spikes just sitting around waiting on motivations. It's the way to go. Just drop 200-300 bucks on this instead of some Roush winglets and you're set!

I think I want one of these http://www.megaarms.com/ar-15/lower-receivers/billet-lowers/gtr-3h/ and one of these http://www.megaarms.com/ar-15/upper-receivers/billet-uppers/sbu-billet-upper-with-ch-slot/ with a nice bull barrel on it. Maybe a 20 caliber/204 type round....barrel burner.

Do it up! Can't go wrong with Mega Arms. But I'd reconsider the ammo choice. If you do your own loading that's cool, but don't bank on ever finding exotic ammo once the market goes absolutely crazy with some new legislation. The ammo manufacturers stop making anything unique and stick with cranking out 9mm, 5.56, .45, etc.

Hadn't really thought about that. I will probably get into reloading...but I'll stick with a standard caliber.

Reloading is the only way to go when ammo goes high. I reload 9, 45, 5.56, .308. Plus I reload .338 Lapua as well cause no matter what that is expensive. Bought 100 Lapua brand brass though which can be reloaded 10 times if you are good. That really drives per round cost down from six bucks a round to two.

How much money is your time worth? Whenever I think of reloading, I see a chain smoker with a press sitting in front of the TV watching reruns of All in the Family. Yes, you definitely save some bills, and I totally get reloading exotic stuff like .454 Casull, but between collecting brass and reloading it, I've got better things to do with my time if we're talking about 9mm and .45ACP.

I'm out of town for work but should be back next week. Reached out to the local gun store. Put a hold on a S&W M&P in .45. They don't sell Mega Arms though, so need to source the upper & lower somewhere else.

I agree right now it is not worth it. However when cartridge prices go up to 3-4 dollars a round for .308 it is totally worth reloading at .50 a round.

It's been that high before unfortunately.

Agreed on .308 - ammo prices keep me from building an AR in .308, and were a prime reason for me selling my 30-06 M1 Garand a long time ago. Really regret that one now. :-\
