It’s very hard to figure this one out, since we still don’t know all the specs of the engine.

But 740-760hp would be my best guess, the issue here is that, unlike the zr1 with it’s bigger displacement. Ford will have to really get the tune dialed in both engines are running 12psi, and what i mean is Chevy was extremely extremely conservative with the stock tune on the zr1. That’s the one advantage of having 6.2 liters, and a much lower redline. My guess is without DI and it’s ability to cool the combustion chamber thus raising the knock threshold, never-mind emissions, they’re really hitting crunch time finalizing the numbers.

I know. Didn’t work well did it?
Lmfao it only half way worked because of how tall first gear was

The second guys put 3.73s in them, it was off the track and spinning

I'm probably waaaay to optimistic here but I think there's a chance Ford shocks the world and joins the 800 HP club with the GT500. I know I know...
Like i said in my reply above, they would have to make the stock tune pretty aggressive for that. This engine besides the actual architecture is very on par with the LT5, as far as what they both put down. I just don’t see ford throwing a shit ton of timing at it and then losing sleep and warranty claims over some guy throwing shitty 91 in it and having a bad knock event.

We shall see but be as it may in this situation having 5.2 liters, 7500 rpm redline isn’t making Fords job any easier

I like to disassemble things.

They've been done with this for a while. Calibrations were tweaked to what Ford felt met the necessary internal/external standards and testing for both EPA and CARB certification has been ongoing for some time. Power ratings are a simple matter of an SAE test and Ford has known exactly where the car would be, plus or minus, for a long time now.
