That second pic is of the current LRA, which C&D posted in comparison two the first pic you posted.
The Control Blades make the IRS look like the solid axle in those diagrams. The one on the right is the IRS.

Over the last two years I've heard the 2015 Mustang GT's performance target is the 12-13 Boss 302. I'm interesting to see how close they get to that in base GT trim. I'm guessing 0-60 in 4.0 seconds and 1/4 mile in the mid 12's on street tires. If the car looks great I'll probably get one of the SE variants in the second year. If not then I'll just roll with the Boss.

For the record that would actually best the Boss 302 numbers, or at least the ones I'm going with. MT got 4 secs flat and 12.3 quarter mile when they reviewed it in 2012 but I'm not quite buying it. Nearly identical to the '11 GT500 #s. C&D got 4.3 and 12.8 at 113mph.

If somehow the '15 GT were able to do that, the SVT would destroy it. If it is true that the GT350 will be a stripped down street racer and a high revving NA 5.2, whoooo.... I can't wait to see those numbers. But that's geting a bit ahead of ourselves.

That 3.93 would be hard for the s550 to duplicate, but I would love to see that happen. We need more power.

If the current gt goes 4.4ish and 12.7ish now, the s550 will need 40-50 more hp to get to 4.0 and 12.2ish, which would beat or at least keep up with the boss. The boss also has SRA and the s550 with its IRS might not hook up as well. That combined with slightly more weight makes a serious power/torque gain seem necessary.
I'm thinking 0-60 4.0/quarter mile 12.2 at 116-117mph

My guess on power/torque is 460-475hp/400-420lb ft.

Some say 1/4 mile and straight line performance isn't as important as handling this year, but I know its important to more folks than just me. The gt will come with line lock and launch control, these features will greatly improve the consistency of 0-60 and 1/4 times. I want to see ford coming out of the gate swinging hard in 2015, it may just provoke me to trade my truck.

I'm thinking 0 - 60 in the low 4's (4.0 - 4.2) and the 1/4 in 12.3 to 12.5 on average. I don't think hook up is going to be near the issue it was with previously IRS-equipped Stangs. That, and launch control I'm sure will make that much better and more consistent to boot.

Heh, I have no idea. I know that I read or saw somewhere where you could set launch control at 1000rpm increments (seems too wide to me, personally) up to I *think* 5k? It'll still take some experimentation, for sure.

I can't wait to see the first tests for the gt pp, a good 0-60 and 1/4 mile time will sell some cars, I might even be sold. I'm hopefully optimistic. :hail::ford:

You should try it on cloud 9 sometime, feels good brah.

I get that what I'm saying seems unrealistic, and overly optimistic. Someone is gonna eat crow when we see the final numbers. I really hope it's not me.

what I meant was that the 2015 is going to be one helluva car in many good ways[emoji4] I am expecting the numbers on it are going to be extraordinary and going to smash everyone's underscored expectations in hp, tq and performance altogether. this is going to be a special car to commemorate the 50 years so I am positive Ford is not wanting to disappoint. Being that a few models getting discontinued as was mentioned at the autoshow believe it was the gt500 & the cobra. there were questions left and right about that there though it did upset a few but the hp was mentioned there and that's why I have been sticking with 467 along with improved mpg....time will tell
