Went to the Ford dealer to check out a Guard-painted 2015 Fusion and it just happened to be next to a Magnetic Fusion... If you're even slightly color blind, it'll be pretty easy to confuse the two. It's almost a metallic Highland Green.

Left Magnetic, Right Guard

Magnetic

Guard

After studying them a bit, I still love Guard... It's a pretty unique color, if you can catch it in the right light.

That green undertone just makes me so excited... I mean yea green is my favorite color and I love understated cars so maybe I'm an oddball... but the Guard color is just so intriguing to me I am increasingly happier each and every day that I see the color.

+1
Magnetic is a cool color but I also factored in that there are a trizillion gray/silver cars on the planet, I am proud to be part of the "counter-colorture"

I'm glad all you folks ordering Guard are happy. Looks like it's going to be a popular choice, like Highland Green was in '94. (I bought it on a Sable wagon that year, mostly because we needed a car and the one they had was green.)

Me? I am quite happy with Oxford White.

I'm so thankful that you posted a direct comparison of Gaurd and Magnetic in identical conditions. They both look a bit underwhelming on the Fusion, but this time I can safely say that Guard looks better than Magnetic side by side in my opinion.

I'm so tired of basing my opinion off of online photos though, ready to see these in person.

Both are great... hardest choice ever. Since I think the performance pack is the way to go on this car, the black wheels is going to have a drastic change on which looks better. Still can't decide. It's really a battle of making the car look more like a bullitt or an eleanor...

Seeing them side by side does show how close the two colors actually are.
Just wish the Guard had more green in it.

I posted this picture in the guard thread a while ago. It is also appropriate here.

Looking at the two side-by-side... they look like slight variations on the same color. I can't tell which is which.

Seems obvious to me. Guard is on the right, it has a green tone to it. Magnetic on the left is distinctively gray. (Praying I'm correct. Lol).

Yep! I finally got to see Guard in person on a 2015 Fusion. Boy was I underwhelmed. Now, granted, it was covered in dirt, but still...it looked way too silver. This side-by-side confirmed my fears. I was hoping for more green. :frusty:

Oh well, given a choice between these two, I'd still take the Guard because it at least gives you a little green, but it's not the dream color I was hoping for. Time to reconsider my options...
