I've decided that you should pick your color based on the type of weather you typically have... Guard looks good in overcast skys, it has a much darker polo green color like shown here. If you have bright sunny skies, then you would be better off with something like magnetic or deep impact blue.

Frankly I wish it would look this color under all lighting conditions. I don't like the sage color it gets during bright sun.

DIB looks bright purple in direct sunlight. As a matter of fact I'm gonna go over to the DIB thread and tell them how bad their color sucks. :p

My opinion: it looks great in the sun, and its a chameleon depending on the light and the weather.

Its more grey/blue undertone than both PY/PX ('01 and 08/09 BULLITTs) and thats coming from someone who had an 01 DHG BULLITT in his "stable" for 12 years, and an 08 HG BULLITT next to it for a much shorter period of time. :)

Guard is more subdued than (Dark) Highland Green, and the BULLITTS showed a bit more yellow hued green in bright light. Trying to find my bottle of Motorcraft PY touch up paint.. :)

So?

The color is for me, not some passerby.
:)

I've had three (non-mustang) people at work come look at the guard green fusion, and all three have said they love the guard green color, and told me they thought I should get guard instead of black. Then again, black is getting some hate as well. :) Its funny that some are stating opinion as fact :)

I think I know what personalized plate I want now. :D

naysayers kindly remove yourselves :)

This is not being a naysayer, its an opinion on how the color looks from a distance.

When I said "I don't think someone who saw you rolling down the street in another car would say "nice green on that Mustang"". It wasn't a derogatory remark about the color. It was a statement that from a distance it does not look green.

It Is No Where Near Dark Highland Green. Much Lighter and Not Nearly as Green.
:thumbsup: But Guard still looks closer to how Frank Bullitt's Mustang actually appeared on film, not in real life :p

Get your eyes checked mate. http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?pageid=77&lang=en

Both are great colors, and they excel in different areas. I like how deep all the colors can get. In direct sunlight I find the guard underwhelming. It looks perfect in overcast sky like posted earlier.
I went from wanting sterling grey on a 2014 to guard on a 2015, then to magnetic, now i'm on DIB. Who knows what it will be a few months from now.

GUARD only.

It would be nice if someone could take out the pictures they have nothing to do with guard. I am sure there is a DIB thread already. No offence! This is a GUARD section.:gossip:
