Hi all,

I just replaced my rotors and pads with some new ones, haven’t had the stock stuff on in quite some while. I have a rotational squeal, it sounds like the rotor coming into contact with the caliper.

It is not the pads, as the squeal is still there when I pull out the pads and spin the rotor. Tried loosening the top caliper retention bolt a little, and so on and so forth. Nothing.

The sound is present most of the time, except when the car is under load or when actually braking.

Suggestions? Thank you!!

Is there contact between the dust shield and the rotor? This can make a sound very much like the indicator for worn-out pads does.

This actually happened to me before as the dust shield is thin and easy to bend. Just bending it back did the trick.
Going to have to try that -- also put in brake cooling ducts so there's a good chance I bent something!

yup. check dust shields. I bent mine a hair and it would only contact in turns.
