I must absolutely disagree about the color being fugly. I wish Ford offered that as a premium color. I would have absolutely picked that over rapid red.

An outstanding color in my opinion with obviously the Penske Team going well beyond the call of duty with respect to the overall fit and finish of this spectacular paint job.

Having said that if it would have been my car I personally would have added a Painted Black Roof to this 2020 CFTP which would not only have made the Black heat extractor hood vent and the Black CF wing pop more than it already does but it also would have helped somewhat replicate the Black Vinyl Roof that came on his 1968 "Green Hornet" Experimental Prototype.

In any event what a pair of cool looking and extremely rare Mustangs and congrats to CJ!

A couple of really cool cars. Can anyone share the story of this "Little Red" Shelby that is mentioned? Fun to read these stories! Thanks, Rex

I am amazed by how big the DCT is compared to the engine. The trans has to be a big reason the GT500 is so heavy , but it does make the GT500 an incredibly fast car.

Actually the trans looks about right, it's the bell housing that is chewing up an enormous amount of room, likely done so that it comports with "unified" drive-shaft lengths or to move the weight bias as much as they could get away with to the rear. IMO should have gone with a transaxle but that would prevent wholesale re-use of the S550 ecoboost chassis.

Why can’t Ford bring a dark green like that to the Shelby line???? I’d love that color or British Racing Green.

What an awesome car - I wish I could give a million bucks to charity as a write-off then get an awesome one-off car simply for the taxes on the MSRP. Talk about a sweat deal.....
