I fall under the "leave it as-is" crowd myself, the R already has quite a lot that differentiates it visually from a GT350.

There is also a big red "R" stitched into the front seats.

I suggest that your intentions are good but for anyone that lusts after the R model versus the GT350 there are significant visual differences between the GT350 and the GT350R.

For example:

* Red badging in the grill and rear tail section
* Large rear carbon fiber wing
* Black carbon fiber wheels
* Larger chin splitter
* 1/2" lower stance
* Rear seat delete
* Larger Michelin tires and 1/2" wider wheels
* Red trim on seats
* Steering wheel centering stripe in Red versus Black
* Chassis number plaque indicating "GRXXX" versus "GXXXX"
* VIN number indicating an "R" model
* Resonators delete
* Wheel locking kit
* Radio delete cover plate and A/C delete on base 920A model

Again I understand that your intentions are honorable but you are playing to a serious crowd with the "R" model and I suggest that most everyone wants to keep their "R" model just the way it came from the Flat Rock factory with most not looking to modify their R model in any fashion.

:cheers:

PP0001 Agreed.

There's a ton of subtle, but very noticeable differences already between the R and non-R's.

I suggest OP puts a huge red vinyl R on the roof, so that when helicopters fly above him, they also know he's driving an R. :rolleyes:

Don't forget the red pinstripe on the stripe for striped R's.... (edit, some of the non-R have red accent.. never mind)

I've wondered. Surely people can get their hands on all the R stuff eventually. What would it cost to insert all of the above? More or less than say $20k ADM?

No non-R's have red accents from the factory.

Kinda like no non GT350 steering wheels on a lot of forum members cars came from the factory!! All relevant ! So we will all have derivatives of some kind....like starter buttons rear spoilers etc...etc !!

Carbon fiber wheels alone would be over $20K

As some of you know there is nothing on the outside of the GT350R to distinguish it from the regular GT350 except the small badge/emblem on the trunk and the inside badge on the passenger side. To me, that's kind of a slap in the face due to the fact we pay more for the GT350R model then the normal GT350. I have come up with a solution. I am going to make these in billet, but I can also print them in just about any color. To my knowledge, there is currently nobody that has or makes this emblem. Would anyone be interested in one for each side of the car? Would definitely set you apart from the normal GT350!

First- you didn't pay that much more. B- There's that huge wing hanging off your deck lid. #3- I can spot the wheel/tire difference from here.....:D
