GT350R Mecum

There were two GT350R's at Mecum in Dallas this weekend. A Race Red that sold at no reserve and a Deep Impact Blue that looks like it didn't meet the reserve.

Does anyone have the bid details on what dollar amount the blue car got to and how much the race red sold for?

I was shocked at the announcer giving specs on one of the Tech packs I saw sell @ Mecum, first he said the Tech pack comes with everything in the Track pack, and then he said the big infotainment screen actually moves and angles toward the driver.... :frusty:

There were only 100 GT350s for 2015 so really not too shocking. 500, 2016 Rs. Personally don't care if it's a 15 or 17 I wouldn't pay any more for that reason, but with only 100 out there, there certainly is enough collectors and it shows in this situation.

I sent them a email on their mistake and they responded today and said thanks. John Kramer said he though he read the info I sent, but" he just let it go"
During the auction they said the 15/16 shelby to get was the tech package because it had all the track pack goodies.

I was kind of shocked to see what these cars sold for; especially the '16 R @ $72K. But the '15s selling under $90k or not sold at all? Is this due to whether the GT350 continues production past the '17 model year?

Funny, I could have had a '15 Track Pack for $12K over, but ended up with a '16 R for $4K over. The '15 may have been a better investment, but the '16 R is clearly better to live with as I want to DRIVE it.

much cheaper at 72.5k? Anyone have any details between the two?

Also at the same auction, a 1965, numbers matching GT350 sold for $410,000.

I am assuming because the DIB R marketed the ad better. They spoke of the rarity of the configuration where as the RR R only listed the cars performance stats. If I sold my R, I would break down how many Rs have been made and how many are in Triple Yellow ect...

With the way the 15s sold, I assume the typical Mecum buyer is looking for collectibles.
