Hi Everyone,

I'm having trouble figuring out what the "right" part number is for the driver's rear GT350R spring.

It seems that 6 valid numbers exist, but none are clearly confirmed in the Ford part descriptions:

FR3Z-5560-SNow: FR3Z-5560-Y
FR3z-5560-PNow: FR3Z-5560-W
FR3Z-5560-Tnow: FR3Z-5560-X

What answer is most correct? What are the differences?

The front GT350R spring seems to be quite settled as: FR3Z-5310-M.

This would be to replace both rear springs on a 2018 GT PP1 as the beginnings of a dual-use autocross & daily driver CAM-C Build. I do a lot of skiing and don't want to lose too much ground clearance.

The part number below is the same as the GT350R springs on the rear of my car.

Search is your friend.

I figured that if I'm gonna do camber plates to get the alignment I need for the 19x11 + 305/30 combo, I'm 75% of the way to a spring upgrade soooo... a set of GT350R springs arrived today courtesy of @TRAC WPN. Thanks, man!

For reference, the PN's of these springs are:

Front (L&R) - FR3Z-5310-M [tag = FR3V-5310-RB]
Rear (L) - FR3Z-5560-X [tag = FR3V-5B859-ME]
Rear (R) - FR3Z-5560-W [tag = FR3V-5560-ME]

Different PN's for the rear springs due to the Magneride requirements for counter-wound springs. Not sure why that's not a deal on the front, but whatever. My only concern is that the stock Performance Package Magneride tuning may not be fully up to the GT350R spring rates. We'll see how this goes.

The goal is for a spring rate upgrade with a very minimal drop, and the R springs should do the trick. My car is slightly heavier than a R (sadly), so I'm expecting the final ride height to be about the same as the R. That's probably as low as I can go without rubbing the stock splitter on the driveway every day.

The PP2 splitter may be a no-go after I get the springs installed, so that project is on hold for a bit longer. I do have all the rest of the parts for the PP2 install short of the GT PP1 splitter, so that's ready to go if everything works out.

I'll add that the 350R springs resulted in ZERO drop on my '18 EBPP +MR, front or rear. I am pretty OK with that as I drive the car daily and have a pretty steep driveway. I also added a PP2 splitter and that pretty much nuked any clearance I had over my driveway. If you're happy with your ground clearance now, the R springs are a good deal. Some folks have cited 3/8-1/2" drop, but my Magneride car didn't budge.

Just went and checked my ride height again - still right at 15ā€ from center of wheel to the wheel opening. This is exactly the same as the stock EBPP+MR springs. The only other physical difference in my swap was the adjustable camber plates I installed and I donā€™t think they varied much from stock.

Yes, for the front. I didnā€™t check the back but can if you need that info. I saw no change in ride height there either.

Would you mind measuring from ground to TDC of the fenders both front and rear?
What are your tire sizes?
Sure... 27.5" front & rear. Note that I'm running short tires - 305/30-19 so that may affect how low my car appears vs. others.

I'm at 27-5/8 front. 28.25 rear.
All 255/40 tires. (I'm undersize as well. Good deal on takeoffs I couldn't refuse.)

Didn't realize I had a little rake. Sure doesn't appear that way.

Hey thanks for your help!

If switching to GT350/R front springs and using two left rear GT350/R rear springs on a PP GT, do you need any other items like spring perches/seats etc?

No. You can just throw them in and re-use the little bits from the original springs.

I recommend camber plates and upgraded shocks/struts if you havenā€™t done so already.

Is that the PN on the little paper tag? And GT350 - not ā€˜Rā€™?
