Looking good man! Go get her!!
Thanks man!! Dude if I could I would fly out from work tonight and straight to the dealer  butttt the fiancee would murder me if I didn't take her, and this is actually our first little "road trip/holiday" that we're taking together so I'm really looking forward to it.

Found out my chassis number is HR057 :headbang:

I was there at 130 pm today and one truck was there
with gt 350, but no R, this must have came after.
Great the will have time to prep it for you, what time you landing at dealer on Friday? I will drop down to see you, likely see your car tomorrow.

You must have literally Just missed it! Yeah for sure, they have plenty of time to do the PDI and get the tint done Friday morning, so she'll be all set for pick up! I should be there somewhere between 2:00-3:00 depending on if the boat docks in time and how fast we can get on the road. Probably be stopping for lunch before we get there as well. I'll PM you when we are leaving the boat, or if you wanna PM me your number TR I'll send you a text if you would prefer. Look forward to meeting you buddy!

Met Justin and is Fiancee at McPhee Ford today.
He picked up his new car,Great young couple.
The R looks stunning, black with white stripes.
He was excited and tired. Flew in to NFLD from out west
Wednesday night, grabbed his stuff an they headed to NS.
Long drive and very long ferry ride he got here.
Got all the paper work done, I actually walked him through a bunch of stuff.
The salesmen didn't know. He's was headed to Moncton, 3 hours away.
Getting car wrapped. I am sure he is wound and exhausted all at the same time.

He is there for a few days, I suspect he will log in and give us an update
and first impressions soon :)

Definitely been a long couple days, but also very exciting! Was a pleasure to meet you TR, and very much appreciate you running through all the controls and different modes with me.

Dropped the car off this evening to have a full XPEL wrap done over the weekend, picking it back up Monday to start a long drive back home. Unfortunately it poured raining during most of the ~3hours I had the car after I left the dealer; weather mode was engaged haha

First impressions: this car is flat out insane and ridiculous in so many aspects. The exhaust is just absolutely incredible, the recaros are fantastic, the transmission is like nothing else I've ever experienced, and the entire car just constantly reminds me of being a "race car".

Will definitely need to get more time behind the wheel to give a good review of it, but even in the limited time I had it with being in weather mode the entire time, I'm completely in love with it. It is everything I dreamed of and more honestly, still can't believe it's mine :D

And TR, you're right, it tramlines like a mother****er  those grooves going towards Moncton man, gives a decent arm workout anyways haha

I'll start a new thread with an initial full review next week once I get the car home and some more seat time! Until then I guess I'll have to try to enjoy myself over the weekend on my vacation while I'm daydreaming of getting my R back :headbonk: :D

Ok, time of ran update or new thread????
You went to Moncton, had blocks left in springs.
I presume you got that sorted out?
You were getting complete wrap on car, how did that go?
Then had long drive home, how was the trip?
What are your impressions? Just how jealous are your friends LOL.

Hey TR, I'll post a new thread either tonight or tomorrow of an intial review of the car. Had a chance to drive it a couple of times through the city now and it the most fun I've ever had in any car :)

Unfortunately the spacers issue is still not resolved.... When I picked the car up from Taylor Ford I was in a hurry to get on the road and get back to the boat that night, so I did not notice that both rear shocks are completely different as you can see in the pics I've attached. One side still sits about 20mm higher than the other and I have no idea which side is correct... Have a service appointment Monday morning to get my local dealer to look at it and fix whatever the hell is wrong, hopefully once and for all.

On top of that, while the majority of the XPEL wrap looks great, I have at least 7-8 spots where the film is lifting.... And there's no local XPEL installer so the guy who did it is trying to line me up with someone locally who has never before used XPEL film to repair all the areas... In addition there are ton of small spots where dust is visible as small bubbles and some kinks in the film along the trunk lid. Suffice to say I'm pretty disappointed, especially after shelling out $5800 cash, and expect the company to make things right whatever it takes.

The trip home was long, long, and oh did I mention long? Haha especially after a night of practically no sleep on the boat with what I can only imagine was a walrus snoring ahead of us.

Most people are kind of blown away, because I didn't tell anyone I was getting the car  but I've gotten a ton of compliments and thumbs up and pictures taken since driving back!

I'll post tomorrow probably an actual semi-review of the car and my impressions of it, trust me when I say that the first impressions are all very, very good :D

Man if you were near Calgary I could hook you up with my shop Refine. Best xpel installers around no joke. They're the go to shop for the Hypercars in town.

Also sad to hear you paid that much :( a full wrap shouldn't be more than $4500. For example my friend got his car fully wrapped for 4K.

Sorry you had the troubles. Whats good is it can all be corrected. Sucks that it's more time and money down the drain but try and mark it down as an experience.

Darren at Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie Alberta contacted me recently and apparently has an Oxford White R with blue stripes in stock.
Nothing was confirmed but seemed like $10K over MSRP wasn't a stretch...

Interesting. If that's the case 3-5k over tomorrow at 5pm should be doable.

Someone should jump on this.
