I have not been on for a while and with two jobs sometimes hard to keep up with the Mustang news.

I know the GT350 is not coming here. But has there been any rumours that there may be a change of heart by FORD on that ?

I personally would love to see the GT350 here in time for my retirement. LOL.

Lol.

Yeah right

I've heard stories about Bayford, I think they broke the BS meter a long time ago.

Very much doubt we will get the 350, hasnt been any kind of mention or rumor from any kind of motoring websites. You compare it to the Focus RS where there was mentions constantly both from Ford and other sources.

Curious that a dealer was willing to take a deposit on a car that has been categorically told by ford AU that is not heading down under.

I thought so. Thanks for the update guys except of course to the guy living in fantasy land.

Thats one of the problems with these forums. You get some great info from people who care about putting info out there they know to be true then you get people who are just plain full of it. Why do people do that ?

Sometimes its better to actually contact the source directly to get the truth as they know it at the time. I will google the number for Bayford and give them a call and ask if they are taking deposits for the GT350. I think I already know the answer.

Wish it were true though. :)

I would suggest you guys call some dealers before Flaming the guy. I will say now that not only are dealers taking deposits for a car very unlikely to appear here but ford au staff are also putting down deposits. It's purely a "want to be In the queue" scenario. I doubt it's coming here as part of the current run. I expect it to be announced middle to late next year for a 2018-early 2019 release

I would also suggest that you contact dealers, you might be surprised how many deposits have been taken already.

Should such a car come I doubt many will be made and last I heard there were a lot of orders. Some dealerships might even have more orders than their suggested allocation

I know a few users who have put down a deposit, there is definitely information floating around. Fact or rumour, that flat plane crank is enough to get people excited.

Also did anyone see the GT350 strut tower brace made for a RHD car? I am sure Ford invests in R&D for something that doesn't exist

Ok so I just called, Bayford Epping. Yes its true they are taking deposits for a car that Giovani the sales manager said is not confirmed as coming. So the part MrFord in your post where you quote coming late 2017 is not true at all. At the moment official line from Ford is that it is not coming.

So I must apologise, you (MrFord) have probably put down a deposit on a GT350. But at the moment it is not coming to Australia.

Good luck to you for having the spare cash to give to Bayford for a car that is not coming. I really do not see the sense in that. I hope Bayford are paying you some interest for that.

I asked Mr G when is the end date, in other words how long will you keep the deposit ? He said its an individual deal with each customer. Crazy.

Should I go to the local Holden dealer and put down a deposit on a Corvette too? Wouldn't mind one of those :).
