this thing is just... pure beauty. :hail:
I'm Peaked....must see more.....must know more!

What a great track!Photo from Watkins Glen

This guy must be crazy, or lying...I didn't want to string this out a lot...I can write a small story on this one folks.
The story in a nut shell is that the car had engine problems..dealer kept throwing parts like cat convertors not wanting to do a motor unless it failed or blew even though they confirmed something was up with the motor.
In the mean time I'm waiting and waiting...the last straw was me driving 400miles to the track..doing a part throttle yellow flag lap and the car going in limp mode again showing misfire codes and dropping power..then on the way home the cars back firing etc etc
Gm should do with the ls7 as porsche did with the gt3..recall the car and fix a known factory defect.
I'm not a new car guy and this isn't my first track car....I work in automotive and in motorsports to get you a little of background...The car wasn't worth the fight for me if you know what I mean...so I moved on.
BEFORE I BOUGHT MY Z28 I DID SOME RESEARCH..TURNS OUT LS7S HAVE PROBLEMS..WE KNOW THAT..I GOT A GOOD ENOUGH DEAL ON THE CAR THAT I FIGURE ID ROLL THE DICE..WORSE COMES TO WORSE I WILL SELL OR TRADE THE CAR IN IF ITS A BUM CAR..GUESS WHAT HAPPENED.
Is it funny? I thought it was hilarious sending you on random Google missions to quickly educate yourself before you post. That's my favorite thing.
Prove me wrong? On what? Ruleboooks? You guys didn't even know a Rulebook existed before I made this thread. I attack you personally because you are an easy target. You orginally came in here to tell me "the z28 would be allowed in Motorsport"
Oh yeah? How'd that work out?
Since you are a cage expert, tell me, in your professional opinion, would this vehicle benefit from any additional reinforcement. Lets say a full cage... Your second argument was that "The z28 didn't benefit from a cage at Nurburgring".
Care to explain this?

I say chassis flex and you say auto-camber... Sure looks like a whole lot of chassis flex to me.
Wasn't you the guy that had no idea about weight distribution and tire pressure but came in here to matter of factly talk about weighing a car?
I haven't learned anything from you except that a full grown man can cry...
Edit: Back to the 1LE, how come this "Ultimate Drivers Car" can't save itself from a field of S197's, 5.0's and a damn Ecoboost Mustang? I want to hear your excuse for that. Every year nobody wants to talk about the 1LE's performance the season prior. But quick to pull out Motor Trend. The 1LE is GT food...
I also want to hear about this half OEM/half Tube Frame GT3 Mustang you keep talking about. I want to see how that was done and remained in one piece the whole season. Tubed from the driver back? Are you smoking crack cocaine? Stop it...
Any comments on why the mighty z28 needs a 7 liter engine with almost no restriction to compete in a field of 350hp Sports Coupes? Does it need the extra 100hp? I would sure love the GT350 to be allowed a 100hp advantage on only a 15mm restriction.
Wait... why the hell is the z28 racing there anyway? It never homologated the car, doesn't use it's OEM wheels/tires/brakes, transmission (from the GS.R, rear end (GS.R), F1 shocks and a Preatt-Miller tuned LS7.
MUST BE NICE!!!!
MacP equipped cars will ALWAYS lift that tire. I specifically said that, a cage assist in this area but still doesn't cure it.![]()
Hey look a caged GT350 is also lifting its inside front wheel. Looks like Stuntman was right on this one...
3,800ish lbs.MacP equipped cars will ALWAYS lift that tire. I specifically said that, a cage assist in this area but still doesn't cure it.
Stuntman was WRONG, both Pony Cars need cages to run the Ring. Especially the 4000lbs z28.
Consensus being the z28 is too good for chassis flex (WRONG) and a cage wouldn't help at the Ring (WRONG AGAIN).
Actually, I didn't initially give GM shit for it. I started giving people shit for believing the cars were stock. I didn't start grinding GM about it until it became their ONLY source for Camaro advertising. Run the damn Ring, don't tell people bullshit... Customers are better than that...3,800ish lbs.
...oh..and if there was ever any person that gave GM a sh!t ton of crap for running caged cars at the ring, it was you Pill. Looks like you've backed off on that one.
I can point out other owners from a different site (you can guess which) that have tracked their Z/28 for months now.Actually, I didn't initially give GM shit for it. Look at the guy with the broke z28. ONE OF THE FIRST AND ONLY ONES TO TRACK IT!!! He broke it and now can't get it fixed under warranty. Is that the kinda bullshit your prepared to swallow? For a company that could give two shits about their customers? They don't care enough about safety, do you think they are shooting you straight about performance!!! Or weight!!! No...
Stop being a follower, use your heads from now on and stop being insulted by what I tell you. Has anything I came forward with debatable anymore??? NO!!! Everyone shut the f@ck up and dropped the entire debate.
They would rather discuss my personal life, which nobody has any idea about, because they can't argue.
Get over it... They manipulated a fan base... Plain and simple...
I can name 6 from the first page...I can point out other owners from a different site (you can guess which) that have tracked their Z/28 for months now.
Does the LS7 have issues? Yep. Is every single a car a disaster? No.
aha!!I can name 6 from the first page...
One z28 blew up...
Two z28's ran at 300 degrees...
One z28 was molested by a Boss 302 and crashed...
Two appear to have escaped unscathed...
Z28 Heritage.......
