It will be close, hopefully that can settle at 3200lbs with cage and spec equipment. Even losing race weight has become difficult.

3200lbs is the BIW with cage, race version BOSS 302 or GTTP weight? Please elaborate. We're talking no carpet, sound deadener, all tthe bells and whistles to make it a street legal car?

Why can't some fine soul take a set of scales down to a Ford dealer and weigh all the different versions and options of the cars on the lot, and put an end to part of this? We still won't know the weights of the GT350's till someone weighs theirs anyway. :headbonk:

All stock with nothing removed? I am trying to confirm but, it looks like it may be so. Let's see where the fuel was at.

Be advised, this is still 23lbs heavier than a Non-Premium, Non-Performance Pack 2014 GT.

He says no trunk junk and almost out of fuel, but still not bad, under 3600lbs

That would be right about 3,660 lbs with a full tank. +70 lb of fuel.

So that makes 3,660 lbs for a manual and 3,705 for an auto

No that would make it about 3688 + trunk junk of about 13lbs or so. So still over 3700lbs. it was an empty tank he weighed it with About 6.3 lbs per gallon that's a little over 95 lbs if he had about under a gallon in the tank. Which it looks like he did with only 3 mte

Also only 4 lbs under Ford's claimed curb weight. So let's put this to rest finally. The base gt, no options weighs only a few lbs at most under Ford's curb weight.

And the pill, don't try to down play that you've been hoping and emphasizing those hopes that the base gt has a full liquids curb weight of around 3660 or so...I can't recall the exact number you've been throwing around. Unfortunately it's not...however now we can move on to finding Out how much each option weighs. I'm still interested in finding Out how much the premium seats weigh. Cloth stockers are 50lbs. My Gt premium only weighs 109 more lbs than this car.

With a quick rough estimate my car can lose about 223lbs with the following modifications:

Cf Driveshaft, two racing seats, no rear seats or trunk junk, lighter wheels, lighter racing brakes (assuming they become available, not the drag brakes) and of course a catback. Full tank of gas.

Yes, there are Base GT's out there beteen 3650 and 3680lbs. We know this because we have seen it first hand.

Finally answered. If he only had 3 miles to empty, then he would need about 15.5 gal to fill it. 15.5x6.3=97lbs. Trunk junk is 13lbs. Chances are if he spent the time taking out trunk junk, he also took out floor mats which are 2lbs.

Base car 3593
15.5 gal gas 97lbs
Trunk junk 13lbs
Floor mats 2lbs
Total 3705 base weight.

Oh really? We must have been mistaken...

This car was only 30lbs heavier than a 2011. I am happy where it is at.

If I remember correctly, our first Base GT weighed 3577lbs. This would be a little lighter...

This is only the second GT they weighed... There will be others that are a little lighter.

Vorshlag weight just supported Fords weight, so if your weight was the same, then you also are backing Fords weight.

exactly...I think thePill is delusional and backpedaling now. This car is 130lbs heaver than a base 2011 Gt and about 50lbs heavier than an 11 GT with brembo package. Vorshlag weighed a loaner bembo gt car at 3605(not sure if it was premium). The pill I do see your weight comparison now about the 11 brembo gt about 30lbs on that one (vorshlags car), his has the electronics package btw and his is a premium model as according to the brochure it is only included with the premium. So it has leather and all those goodies in it
