Didn't they tested the GTPP against a m4 and RS5 in Germany? If a GTPP can dominate an RS5, then why even do this comparison? I might be wrong though, if anyone remembers that comparison, please step in!
For the same reason not everyone buys cars based purely on subjective magazine reviews

RS5 is a Grand Touring car that may occasionally see the track, but isn't great at the track.

The GT350 is a track bred car you can drive on the street. Even the regular non R GT350 is track focused, track bred.

Really are in two different segments.

Next generation RS5 will be different. It'll be boosted, maybe supercharged, probably twin turbo'd...or if rumors are true twin turbocharged with electric supercharger...and hopefully lighter. But will still be a Grand Touring car first.

Well ofcourse not but not everybody gets to track review every production car possible in the planet earth!

Lets be realistic here! All you have is consumer and publisher reviews! It gives you an approximate idea of where the car stands!

I see an RS5 at least every other day and I can't imagine I will be seeing too many gt350's! for me just being unique and having a car that just a handfull of other people have is the selling point

No you don't, if you do, must be the same car. Those cars are very rare in the states.

It's gotta be the same 3-4 RS5's you're seeing then. They only have 1500 in the USA. Very rare car. That or you live in a rich area of Charlotte.

A $74,000 luxury bomber vs a $54,000 track car ?

I doubt these cars are being cross shopped by anyone.

I live in the city full of bank employees and and hub for the 2nd largest Healthcare system so yea our demographics are a little above average. it could be the same handful of rs5's didn't realize how rare they were! with that said the gt350 hands down for just pure badass factor!

The Audi really needs the new body style. Great car though.

As others have said, I would go with a used E92 M3 before a RS5. Then again I am biased..:D

Its amazing the E92 M3 still wins these comparos even though the car was introduced back in 2007.

E92 M2 FTW!!

I would go for the M4 or the GT350.

you're mistaken, for MY 2013, 1509 examples were sent to US...1,281 for MY 2014...no numbers for 2015 yet.

That's still pretty rare, though. I think I've seen maybe 2 or 3 and I live in one of the richest areas in the nation.

Meanwhile, I see 5 E92 M3's on a daily basis.
