I can't believe this car doesn't come with an easily accessible tow hook mount. The Ford performance one requires removing the whole darn front end! How was the install for yours?

I'm only going to do a track day or two a year so I'm wondering where would you even attempt to tow it from if you didn't have the tow hook installed?
I had to remove the front bumper cover as well. The directions say you don't have to and while that may be possible it is sure easier just to remove the bumper cover which is really not that hard.

These may be an option.

From the GT350 supplemental manual. No way they will spend time to do that at a track. Get a tow hook.

Roger that, I can't see any one crawling around underneath in the haste to remove a beached Shelby. I'll get the tow hook.

Had the pop, pop, pop upon letting out the clutch from the CV joint in the DS half shaft so while changing it out I switched to the new style ('17 MY +) half axle nut. The older style on the left have a habit of backing off slightly as others have also reported after tracking their car hard. Something to check...torque rating of 125 ft lbs.

Cutting a few lbs with a lightweight Antigravity lithium battery for the track. Slick mount for the OEM battery tray from Morris Engineering.

Mod season in full swing. Cortex monoball rear LCA bearings, FP spring and swaybars, and J&M front LCA bearings. Looking forward to some track data on this new setup.

Info on the battery please?
battery & mount

Why not use cortex on the front and rear ?
No reason just purchased at separate times. J&M does not make rear LCA spherical bearings as I purchased those first. They will perform the same as the Cortex spherical bearings for the front though. Big thanks to Tim of Optimum Performance btw.

Wow, that will save a good amount of weight. Does anyone run these batteries on the street? Or is it something that you'd just want to use on the track? I believe the stock battery is about 31lbs.

Interested to hear impressions on the front bearings once you get it out there.

Progress. One side complete. Sway bar will be last but also waiting on an IRS alignment kit while I'm at it.

Removing the rear LCA bushing was a real b*%ch. BMR removal tool would not budge it. 12 ton press wouldn't move it until I put some heat to the control arm around the bushing then bam! The rest is easy as I think I can disassemble/reassemble the rear suspension in my sleep.

Thanks! Did you happen to see post #178?

Thanks! And I learned a new word...lol.
Great work and much appreciate the details of your modifications! Most likely caused by photobucket doing their thing (or I just missed it..), I was wondering if you can show the location of the autoblip? I'm curious about getting one.
