Personally, I think the car would be ruined with a supercharger.
I think that about the Boss too, but people do it. A surprising number of people actually.

GT350 already has a "CAI" from the factory. No point in getting one IMO.

I'd definitely live with the car for a year and see what you think of it before trying to add a S/C. IMO a S/C changes the character of the car, and not in a good way. It also adds weight in the worst possible place. If you really want more performance, going to a shorter rear gear might be nice, since the stock gearing is pretty tall due to the high redline.

I am going to get a GT350. I had a chance to get a 2015 but it would've arrived while I was still deployed in like Nov. I have always wanted a supercharged car but im concerned it will take away from the pureness of the car. I now have a premium 2015 gt pp with recaros and a TVS that I was going to install but when I saw that I could actually attain a Shelby I abandoned that idea.
I know that the Shelby will be fast and I already wont be able to use all of the gearing on the street N/A and I will be mostly street driving it. But I just want to be able to beat a z06 or Hellcat or Ferrari if I meet one at the stoplight bc I see a lot of these cars all the time in Tampa.
When I get off of this deployment I will have enough to put down on the car and get a SC so it crossed my mind. I like the Vortech and Procharger kits for the 15 and hope they release one for the Shelby soon. Let me know what you guys think.
Im in a different time zone so don't get mad if I don't respond for a few hours. Were like 8 hrs ahead of yall and peak times on the forum I will prolly be sleep.
you will nees big power up top but wait and see what cam be done N/A first. Turbo would br good for high speed races starting in 3rd, 4th, or 5th gear.

I think its already near the N/A limit. placing the drag of a supercharger on the crank seems kind of stupid. It need some turbos
I have a hunch this is far from the case. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford Performance released a bonkers tune like they did for the Focus ST. Hypotehtically, I could see a tune available from Ford Performance bumping the power from 526 to 560 and smoothening out the torque curve.

When you start ditching the emissions controls big power can be had, probably anothe 60-80 crank HP without cats, or EGR systems in place, retuned headers, and race tuning with good fuel. VW's issue is already becoming an EPA nightmare which in turn could be for SEMA and the industry. H&S was shut down due to the bypass software on truck desiels and I expect similar as we move forward with even the most basic tuning.

We certainly did, and have sold a number of our VMP GEN II TVS blowers for Boss 302.

The GT350 takes an even different manifold/fueling assembly and we have been ready for it for about 6 months.

You can always keep boost down on a high comp motor and get the low end torque benefits that you won't get with a NA 5.0 (plus). Spinning it won't be an issue either.

We have one on order and will have a VMP GENII TVS on it immediately.

VW ' s issues are diesel related, not gasoline. Apples to oranges. And cats are always improving too. They're not like the shyte cans of the 80 ' s anymore.

Looking forward to the results. I have to admit that I have an interest in FI with this car.

I would never sc that beautiful na beast
Exactly.

Please do not destroy an engineering masterpiece.

Now that I know there are blower kits available I would highly recommend anybody buying 2nd hand down the road make sure their 5.2 engine has never been subjected to this garbage.

To be fair, the base car might actually hold its own on the drag strip if you put a blower on it because of the never ending revs. Trap speed anyone?

But obviously I will not be supercharging my car.

Why not just get a 13/14 GT500 if you want a great SC car?
I don't like the GT500. its not a handling car. Its nose heavy. And I want an irs and I like the s550 and the magneride.
