If you look at the windshield, you can see that the angle of of the camera and the ground is a little different for the two shots.

You really need to have an exact duplication to get the best comparison. The 350 has a lower strut brace with less curvature. It all depends on whether the front cross member and radiator support can be swapped.

^ On the profile comparison....There is an in studio shot with a backdrop so there is no real horizon line for reference in the top image....The bottom image is of the convertible so the windshield pillar and the rear decklid would be slightly different. The angles are about as spot on as you can get since the door lines and the fenders and the Gas cap all line up perfectly. So until I can get some shots at the Javitts show next week...this is actually pretty accurate.

I'll include a head on comparison so you can see just how far off the alignment is off for the Hood, Fenders, Splitter and Headlamps.

If you have the determination to do a conversion...you are going to run into an appearance issue just due to the wider front track.

I think you are making too many assumptions. You can't say for sure that everything below the body will be completely different. You are making wild speculations based on pictures taken with different cameras, different locations, different angles, etc. There are too many variables to say for sure.

In your picture the body lines look the same to me on the front end. The offsets are all equal except for the bottom due to the larger front splitter.

^If there is a point of reference like Side View mirrors and the bottom line of the windshield. Then you can match up the perspectives. That's why they're superimposed over each other. That's where the differences are clearly seen.

The comparisons are close... not perfect. But the reference points all mate up. Based on what we do know which is from the A-Pillar back the cars are the same. Therefore a point of reference from which to measure and compare from. I'll try to take identical perspective shots at the Javitts show next week and see again. I'll even bring a measuring tape so the distance and perspectives for the shot are identical from the same camera using the same lens, exposures, and bracketing.

But clearly even from the examples.... The GT350 front fascia....is lower than the Coyote 5.0... And W I D E R. The additional race Splitter on the lower Coyote image could be throwing you off. The bottom horizontal blue line marks where the OEM splitter on the GT is. That's definitely not as pronounced as the GT350.

So what I'm making is more of an educated guess.

Sadly...And for me gladly...The 2015 5.0 Coyote guys won't have an easy time trying to fake it on their cars with a 2016 GT350 front end conversion.

It is better that the 5.0 is simply....different. And so much so that the GT 350's won't have copy cats popping up all over the place.

The following shows there is a lower front fascia, hood and nothing lines up for the 5.0. The light assemblies do look to be the same. But the entire front clip is way off. So much so that trying to copy the GT350... will likely cost too much. Because the subframe is different. The GT350's Headlights sit lower. The front splitter is even with the side splitter....even the rear diffuser lowers the profile. The entire hood line is lower on the GT350 and the nose dips down while the chin is pushed forward more aggressively.

And I appreciate that.... they don't match. So my purchase of a GT350 will not result in wannabees following soon afterwards.

Stop calling people "wannabes", "copy cats" or what have you. Some people like the look. Might be over your head, but some people might just like the look and have no intention of passing their car off for a GT350 to fool other people. Not everyone is in it to show off for other people.

I would suggest that once you have your camera on a tri-pod, raise or lower it until it is even with the side window sill. Then move it left or right until the corners of the front window or mirrors line-up. That would give you a good reference for the hood and bumper. Don't know what you would line-up on the lower part of the car because you can't see all the way through. Maybe flush with the floor pan at the forward most edge of the door.

And a good tape measure for distance from the car to tri-pod. You can see the passenger side window outline is different on both cars, so the 350 was closer.

Or the camera is lower on the 350, or both.

Keep in mind fella's, the lower hoodline on the GT350 will likely prohibit a Roots type Supercharger.

That will dictate if Modders warm up to the GT fascia. It does have an increased grill area over the GT350. At least the top anyway.

Anyway, worth considering if big modding is in your future.

I would have to say the GT type fascia has potential for greater airflow (depending on extraction of course) vs. the GT350. Betting the GT350 has better flow with the hood but, a potential for a larger area is something valued by ALL FI fans. The GT350 uses it's airflow smarter and channels it to exactly where it needs it in specific places. As long as intercoolers are used, the GT will always be favored.

I am sure the GT350's hood line will eventually become THE Mustang overall beyond 2017. The lower grill will likely be altered to favor the EB4 and A/C.

Love all the wide tires on that top pic of the R. They are just perfect on this body style.

Would love to see front shots of the DIB/white car. Was my favorite combo on the 13-14 GT500s
