Would importing a LHD GT350 Heritage Edition be a street legal option in the UK?

It can be done, thereā€™s the cost of the car plus the shipping, insurance and import duty which from memory is 10%, then VAT at 20% is added to the total.

Then thereā€™s a type of approval, it used to be known as SVA (single vehicle approval) but the name has changed now and Iā€™m a bit out of touch, basically youā€™ll have to change things like headlights, indicators, marker lights and the like to comply with European standards, because the Mustang is already Euro compliant all the parts are readily available but wonā€™t be cheap from the Ford dealer.

Once you have your VAT clearance and SVA certificate or whatever itā€™s called now you can apply to the DVLA for registration, as itā€™s a grey import theyā€™ll issue the oldest possible plate for the year youā€™re registering the car in, so even if you did it late in 2020 youā€™d still get a ā€˜69ā€™ plate.

After all this the car would owe you in Ā£ what the car cost in $ but since the Brexit turmoil the pound is weaker than it has been historically so youā€™re probably looking at 120% of the $ price in Ā£ by the time youā€™re on the road.

I havenā€™t done this for many years so Iā€™m open to correction if Iā€™ve got anything wrong.

The 10% import tariff may come to an end once we have left the EU

by rights VAT should vanish too as thats an EU thing I believe.
VAT was introduced as our contribution to the EU but theyā€™ll never do away with it, it generates Ā£billions for the treasury, theyā€™d go bankrupt without it.

We may even be able to get the GT350 over here in RHD if no longer subject to EU regulations

Are the unicorns before or after the biblical flooding and apocalypse that was promised?

One faction will promise free purple unicorns by way of an incentive to vote for them. The other side will decree the promise and state that it will be a plague of unicorns that will bring death and destruction. In reality what you get is the same mangy flea bitten old donkey we had all along.
Politics, brexit, religion, they all use the same tactics and they always will, while we the masses can be easily tempted.

VAT is just an EU wide sales tax framework. It replaced Purchase Tax that we had before we joined the EU.

There will always be some form of sales tax, the only thing leaving the EU will mean is greater flexibility on how it is applied - which could obviously be a good or bad thing !
