Hello all. Im a new member to the forum. Its a little off topic but i was wondering if any one knows whats the deal with over the top stripes. Are they just vinyl over paint? Is the finish product going to be covered with a clear coat? If anyone has any info i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

It's vinyl over paint. If the stripes are the same as the GT500 stripes they are clear coated.

Hood and wheels say otherwise.

I'm not sure... car is non-Recaro, and the wheels look like the Shelby GT wheels.

Technology pack equipped cars do not have recaros and have a GT esqe seat with a bit more bolstering. Wheels I can't say for sure but look to be a 350 style, but the lines of the hood and fenders say 350 to me

It's vinyl over paint. If the stripes are the same as the GT500 stripes they are clear coated.

I'm not sure what you mean by clear coated stripes but if they are it isn't the same clear coat shell as the paint.

I took the stripes off my GT500 myself and they were not under a clear coat. It was definitely vinyl over a clear coated paint.
