Couple magazine tests got pretty close to 200. Still makes it the fastest mustang ever made.

Just look at the Hennessey video of 0 to 150, once it hit 140 (and sixth gear) it was a dog, it would take you the width of a state to reach 170 let alone the >200MPH that it could "theoretically" hit.

hennessey is a chevy guy,that video that your talking about is a fraud to go by when looking at the top speed of the mustang.look at this video,and you will see 160mph was done in 5th gear,at over 6500rpm,look at it close.the video is,the mad man 160 pt.1:cheers:

The 3.73 geared car with henessey 700+ package topped out at 195 at the limiter on sixth gear!

It did not hit any limiter.

Top speed with stock power will generally be what you can hit in 5th gear...

I'd wager a guess and say 175 is reasonable with a good runway, no headwind. While the car will hit 150 quickly, I expect that last 25mph will take some time..

If he is talking about the one in the video I posted, it did indeed limited in 6th year at 195mph

Only if Hennessey put that limiter there, which would have been a stupid idea.

Car had the stock RPM limiter. Was originally a pp gt so he hit the fuel cut off around 6850-7000rpm in sixth gear at 195mph. Something is not right, supercharged should hit 200mph with 3.55 or 3.15 gears but it seems unless you raise the RPM limiter to 7200-7500rpm you won't get 200mph with 3.73 gears. Either way its only bragging rights but it would be nice to brag about having a 200mph car. :first:

I saw the way that car hit 195 mph, that car is definitely capable of 205+ mph with proper gearing!

So my guess is with the current fuel shut off point the six gear with 3.73 gears, only goes up to 195 mph! They also had stock tires too, if they had taller tires, things would have been different!

275/40/19 tires, 3.73 gears, 6,850 fuel cut-off, 0.65 6th gear = 231mph.
