My old 79 ford has a nice leather wrapped steering wheel.

When I first bought my 15 gt I thought the wheel was fine, but now that the newness has worn off I know it's plastic and it just doesn't feel right.

I know about the gt350 wheel but I'd prefer not to spend that much, after all I just want a better feel.

I googled it last night and found one place selling a wrap but it had one terrible review from a 15 owner. Anyone know of a good quality product?

I'd be interested in that too. I can't see myself spending several hundred dollars on a gt350 steering wheel

You could just buy the leather from a supplier and rewrap yourself? May seem like a lot of work, but you get it the way you want it, can make it thicker, and imagine if someone sits in that vehicle and says wow what a nice wheel, and you made it? That's what I'm going to do when the plastic peels off mine some years down the road.

Unless I can retrofit that 2018 heated steering wheel into mine lol

I'm afraid that's a little above my skill level, though I'd love to learn upholstery.

Have you looked here?

I had a phone conversation with a guy from this company (Mike). He seemed like a decent guy. He answered al my questions and emails. I just didn't follow up after. But I am still considering it....;)

Funny I visited my buddy who owns a Miata and he pointed me to the same site last night. That's perfect thanks.

The Delaware address is interesting, when I ordered from them last year, my shift boot came from a small town in Poland.

Can you confirm that they manufacture here now, or if it just a virtual international office?

I have put Wheelskins http://wheelskins.com on the steering wheels of several cars in the past. I thought of putting one on my 16 GT but decided to go with a Beith Performance GT350 steering wheel instead. However if you are looking for a low cost solution to a better feeling steering wheel I would recommend a Wheelskin cover. They are a bit of a pain to install but the results are worth the effort.
