Was looking at a few new GT PP cars on Autotrader and I noticed they're shod with Pirelli P Zeros instead of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Is this due to supply constraints or have the Pirellis always been a possibility for GT PP cars after the refresh (I seem to remember Car and Driver mentioning the switch in suppliers when they drove the 2018 as part of the refresh launch coverage).

It’s based on which Tire Manufacturer supplies Ford with the better price point and wins the contract.

2018-2020 was Mich PS4s now you get the new Pirelli. They aren't the same Pirellis that came on the 2015-2017 Mustang GT PP cars. They are the newer version, the PZer0 (PZ4)4 Nice and grippy but don't last at long.

Michelin's production issues didn't help either since covid
So, a combination of Pirelli (Presumably) giving Ford a better price, coupled with supply issues on Michelin's end?

I would go for a second set of wheel and tires for winter.
