This is not a consistent issue, and it's fairly minor at that, but I'm curious to see if others experience this. Sometimes on a cold start, the car will hunt for its idle before finding where it wants to be. I'm uploading a video now to show this. But what usually happens is as soon as the car starts it will spike to about 1500 RPM, but will immediately drop to around 1000 for a second, then bounce up to around 1300, then back down, sometimes up one more time, then will settle down to around 1000 or so where it will stay until it's fully up to temp where it idles around 650. This is all with no input from the throttle, only when the ft is dead cold (well, ambient temps in the 50s-70s but car has not been driven recently). Car has not been tuned and is pretty stock. Just a few suspension mods, a catback, and catch can. Original tune. However I'll likely be tuning the car soon and wonder if that would have by effect on this. Thanks

I would unhook the battery for 30 minutes and do a idle relearn.

Mine does the same thing, and has been doing it for the past 46k miles since I bought it. No issues so far

Mine does this as well, did it stock and did it this morning (my car is tuned now). I may try doing that for relearn as well.

Good to know I'm not alone. Mine is pretty inconsistent...this happens less than half the time. Is it the same for you guys or is it more consistent? Also...are you able to see the video? It's the first one I've posted to YT and not sure if it worked...

i watched your video and for a few seconds very early at startup you get a little up/down abut I think the entirety of the video it's normal and nothing to worry over.

I had this exact situation last night. It was like 80F in my garage and I started the car, the rpm when up and down a bit before settling.
Pretty normal I have to say.

Did disconnecting the battery fix it? because mine does the same but when warm, revs go up by 50 to 100 rpm only since car was serviced

Not really. At the time I posted the video the car was all stock. I now have a alums tune which didn't really impact this either. It's pretty inconsistent. If anything the tune did lessen this as it idled down much uicker than it did in the factory tune.
