Well I have no problem with paddle shifters. When you let automatic decide when to shift gears, you lose control of what you want the car to do. You let the car decide what RPM you should make that shift and shifting and throttling through the turns is more difficult without manual shifting down either by paddle or stick.

Ya, stick is going to eventually go away to paddle shifters.

It just boils down to people thinking their preference or hobby is the only correct way and everyone else is wrong.

I enjoy driving a stick more than an auto, I really like being engaged in the driving experience at all times. That said, I certainly don't begrudge anybody that drives an auto Mustang and it seems odd to me that anybody would. I could kinda understand if autos were slower than manuals, but the opposite has been true for a decade now.

Especially when it's really just a matter of preference. Case in point, I used to prefer manual transmissions myself, but now I find them annoying and tedious. Probably has something to do with bum knees and worsening traffic.
