Does anyone have any info as to whether Ford will offer the GT Automatic with the P.P.? Is there any good reason as to why they are not offering it now?

Suck it up Donny. Just get the stick. You'll like it, and save a few bucks.

You can get it now with the 50th Anniversary Package Limited Edition, if you're one of the lucky ones able to get one. It wouldn't surprise me if it was available after the GT350 comes out. They did the same thing with the V6 back a couple years ago. :frusty:
Side note: You can get most of the parts and pieces through Ford Racing and have them installed or do it yourself after the fact. If I can't get my '16 with an Automatic and PP, that's what I'll do.

Most likely in the 16 MY, there will be the choice of PP in auto. It maintains the exclusivity of the LE (arguments aside)

Just to clarify, everyone is speculating. Ford has said nothing official about future option availability.

As far as the glass, same thing. Nothing official. Only time will tell.

Ford is a bit vague on the specifics of the Performance Pack. They use catch all terms like unique chassis tuning etc.

The big dollar item is going to be the 6 piston Brembos

That's my sole reason for wanting pp. I can't wait to have it with the LE auto. My current 11 with the TVS can build up way to much steam for the base breaks. Fade sets in easily. I know gt brakes are better but having pp on the LE's makes me that much happier.

Buying the parts aftermarket will be much more expensive, unfortunately. The brakes alone are like $2K.

At least! The kit is already out and includes the full front and rear brake setup. Considering the 2300K (93 Cobra kit) was well over $2000, I can't see this being less than that, and could easily be more.

I take comfort in the fact that Ford basically upsized all the brakes by one kit this year. EBs get 14 GT brakes, GTs get 14 Track Pack brakes, and GT PPs get GT500 brakes. I think I'll be fine.

Plus the rotors on non PP GT'S are solid. Swap in some drilled and slotted rotors and that alone will help loads in heat dissipation

They'll have to add PP by MY16, I don't know why they wouldn't want the extra profit.

It would not surprise me one bit if the only trim you can add a Performance Pack to an automatic GT would be the premium.

I want a performance pack, I will not spend thirty nine thousand for it

Cross drilled rotors are mostly for looks these days, not for heat dissipation. Look at the rotors on NASCAR and Formula 1 cars. Most of them are either smooth or slotted, no cross drilling.
