Good morning,
Is there anybody here that would be kind enough to take some pictures/video of the exhaust valve flaps in normal and sport mode while running? :hail:

It's a butterfly valve. You know what that looks like...
Sorry, I know what exhaust valves are.
This is Ford Motor Co. Parts description

Nastang,

GT350 videos shows Normal/Sport I'm trying to find out if that means Normal/closed Sport/open or is it a variable like the 2018 mustang GT showen in the video below.

Normal keeps the valves closed until WOT, then they open to allow more airflow. So they're variable to manage airflow as needed

I don’t think so.

They’re more on/off operations. I’m thinking the OP was asking if they’re variable like the ‘18, which they’re not. Only open or closed.

When they’re closed and we open the throttle the valves won’t open 60% and stay for example, they will begin to open as the throttle is applied to 100 and remain until you lift off the throttle and it’s back to starting position

Yes that's what I wanted to know. If the 2 mode active exhaust on the GT 350 was a On/Sport Off/Normal or variable. YouTube videos lead me to believe its on/off. I am hoping that the case for a DIY project.

Thanks

Yeah, they are on/off, and loosely coupled to the drive modes.

Normal = closed, except for approaching full throttle, at which point they open.
Sport = open, except for 6th gear, at which point they close.

A middle setting would be cool.

The active exhaust thats supposed to be on the 2018 GT Mustang is supposed to have a third setting. I may not have the names right but believe it is quiet-normal-sport
