GT 2019 : High beam issue

Hello,

first of all I am french so my english may not be good, I hope you will understand what I am trying to say ...

I own a 2019 GT. I have an issue with high beam : when high beams are set to automatic, high beams work. But when I try to manually activate the high beams, it does not work, even if I disable the automatic mode for high beams.

Did anyone meet this issue ?
What could be my problem (except the high beams button itself) ?

Not sure about the Euro specs, so I don't know your high beam - fog/driving light requirements.
In the US, if you have driving/fog lights on, usually you cannot have high beams illuminated concurrently. So if your specs are like the US and you have fog/driving lights, can you manually turn them off and then try the high beams?

Could be incorrect operation, the handling takes some getting used to.

as it looks like a bug, I wonder if I will not try to disconnect / reconnect the battery ...

What happens, when you deactivate auto high beam in the HMI settings?

Does flashing the high beam work?

No flashing the high beam does not work, whatever if auto high beam is activated or not.

Do you have Forscan? In this way you can see if the SCCM is sending the high beam request on the bus.

Sorry but I do not know what is Forscan ... I guess it's a tool to connect to the car computer ?

Worth the money, i have the Android version with me in the car (phone + wifi dongle).

If you don't have a capable OBD-Tool and don't want to buy one, go to a Ford dealer.

It is quite possible that only the high beam switch is defective.

Is your Mustang EU spec, or is it a US spec that came to you as a salvage title via Lithuania? These Frankenstangs sometimes have gizmos...

As our gen 6 are full of electronic things, I wondered if that issue with the high beam in manual use could be due to just a bug of an electronic board managing the high beams. So I disconnected the battery, waited for 1 minute, then reconnected it. And guess what, now high beam in manuel mode does work again !
So this experience can be interesting for you, if you face the same issue.
