So I rarely drive in sport mode in my automatic but I was just messing around today and noticed that when I am coasting to a stop or to take a corner in second and I get into low rpm that the car starts sounding like it's grinding or maybe metal rattling together. I only notice when windows are down. Is this normal or is there something I need to take a look at? Sorry my mechanic skills are about as low as they come :). Thanks.

Take it to the dealer have them look at it... Could be a broken heat shield or like most of us with trams issues this could be a new one (auto only at this time).

Does this also happen when engine braking?

Mine makes like a grinding metal sound, when engine braking in sport mode. Really begin to hear it, as the RPMs drop and the car slows.
