Checked Etis this morning and according to the information on that site for my VIN number my build date is 11/30. So for others tracking I ordered 10/20, it was in cotus 10/21 and I got my vin on 10/30. Looks like it may be here by end of the year maybe? Has anyone else gotten a build date from their dealer or ford service that received a VIN two days ago?

Careful with that. ETIS shows a phoney build date of 11/30 in some future year for all cars until the real build date is in the past.

So then this build date isn't even accurate?

If you got your VIN on 10/30, that build date of 11/30 seems plausible. Got my VIN on 10/23 and build week for me is 11/24 for reference.

I think coincidentally the date may be close, but ETIS doesn't have predictive build dates. Everyone's build date in ETIS is 11/30. Once actually built, ETIS gets loaded with the correct information. My ETIS showed 11/30 starting back in July, before anyone's production scheduled. Now it shows the correct 10/27/14.

With the COTUS source code a fond memory, build dates are available from the dealers, and maybe from FordService, but you won't really know anything from COTUS until you complete Order Processing and go to In Production, just a few days before the car actually builds.

Gotcha! Makes sense.

Bummer. Emailed my salesman yesterday because I know he has Fridays off, and sent a PM to Ford Service yesterday too. Have not heard anything yet on either end. Was hoping ETIS was giving me something to go on.. :tsk:

Just checked Etis as well and my build date also says 11/30 for my convertible. Seems to be too much of a coincidence?

The 30.11.0002 is just a default placeholder. I got my vin on 11/16 and I still have the same thing in etis.

Wow mine was built 2012 years ago!!! I wonder if Jesus or one of the Disciples built my car. ;)

Okay, yeah, they would have been too young. :D

You are correct sir! I just ran my VIN through ETIS, and it gave a date of 30.11.0002... Ha! What year is 0002?

Well that's the first and last time I check etis and expect it to be correct. Only good news is it shouldn't be far off for those of us who got vins this past week

I believe Jesus was about 5 that year, LOL. Should be able to get Antique Auto plates right away.

It is precisely correct, but not until after the car is built. Once that happens, you can find out and do all sorts of things on that site.
