So I have a black 2015 GT PP. Since day 1 I have had issues. Here they are.....

1. At 1200 miles it dropped a lifter. Was in repair for like 8 days. I also made note of a wind noise. I couldn't afford to be without my car any longer and they didn't have time to do it apparently.

2. Took it back for wind noise and clear coat issues. My clear was dull looking and scratched all over. They buffed it all out, leaving some of the scratches because they were too deep to buff. These were absolutely NOT caused by me. I baby this car. The wind issue was not resolved again I needed to make another appointment. So I did that.

3. Took it back for wind noises. They proceeded to remove and re install the windshield 5x times. Idk why 5 times but hey whatever. The last instillation they put a foam sealer ring around the windshield. That did not fix the issue. They told me after all this time that it's a normal sound. Nothing they did fixed it. So I was told to take my car back home again unfixed. They were going to call engineers or something to look further into detail. 10 days later they called and said my seams have holes in them. I looked and didn't see anything. So I just dropped by one day and sure enough there was like a 1/32" pin hole in the seam sealer on right at the edge of my passenger pillar and windshield. The repair attempt was to completely remove that entire seam from back glass all the way up to the windshield and then repaint that whole top side. I ask if there was any other way. I got a strict NO! Their way or the highway.

So a tech slipped by me and said take touch up paint and put a dribble on the hole. I did that and it got a little quieter. It did not completely go away. But after 7-10 it came back full force and loud again.

Life proceeded to kick my in the balls and my wife got cancer. I've had to deal with the car being messed up for the last 2 months. Finally I got a break and I had a chance to call and set up an appointment to do it their way.

4. During my wait time I have developed a MASSIVE leak around the driver quarter window. It literally pours in like a bucket. I took my back seats out and there was 4" of water in the dips under the seat above my gas tank fuel pump covers. Now when it rains or gets washed or anything it leaks so bad I go through 3-4 towels just to dry it up.

5. Dash rattles......everywhere. Left of the steering wheel. Maybe the door panel or something? Also rattles in the center near my radio somewhere.....

This car has been nothing but garbage to me. More things wrong with it than I'd ever expect. I contacted my lawyer about a lemon. It doesn't qualify because apparently wind issues don't cause significant decline in value or it doesn't render it unsafe. Which is complete bullshit. I hate this thing now :/ Ford sucks and won't help me at all. I've talked to customer service for hours to no avail. I'm stuck with a $45k leaking, breaking, still scratched, annoying wind noises hunk of junk. Thanks Ford.:brokenheart:

Scratches in the paint and a leaking window cause a loss in value.

Apparently it's a little more complicated. I said that it does. It has to be below national average for the same car as mine. I tried. My lawyer said its no use right now.

Hey guys here's an update.

The leak is caused by a 5 inch crack in my body. The seam between the roof and side body of the car has a HUGE crack in it. It's just separating from the rest. This part is supposed to be filled. Yet its completely empty. I can see all the way inside my car. I have water standing in my seats and my floor now. Cars totally going to shit. I have nothing else to drive so every time it rains it gets worse.

I have requested a buy back from Ford. They're supposed to call me. I was supposed to receive that call Wednesday. Here it is Monday and nocall. Their policy is to call by the end of next day business. That was 3 days ago. My regional customer service manager had issues before with contacting me. She avoided me for 2 effin weeks. So needless to say. I will not be getting another Ford vehicle. Never another Stang. After the way I've been treated, pushed around, and taken advantage of...I'm done.

I want this car gone via buying it back. It's a huge burden on me constantly having to fix it.

While I understand your frustration with this, it certainly isnt the norm for the Mustang platform at this point. Not sure what your proximity to other service centers but if there were/are others in the area, go there instead. Would be a shame to give up on the Mustang over an isolated incident but if you're done, that is understandable.

I wouldn't consider my plethra of issues isolated. Let's see where it goes.....started with engine, moved to paint/clear coat fading and having stuff in it, wind noises that are driving me insane front passenger side, dash rattles in the center and left side, cracks and holes in seams with nothing underneath them on the back driver side. It's just bridged paint. That makes me wonder what else is half assed or in the same condition that just has yet to be found.

Seems all around to me lol. Regardless of if Ford says its fixed, the issues were there. So many on a normally bulletproof platform is unusual. It makes me lose faith in my vehicle as a whole. I don't feel as if I can trust it anymore.

I was assuming that the wind noise, leak, and rattles were attributable to the seam issue.

Not sure how this engine would drop a lifter...

That is a shitty situation dude, I'm sorry to hear that.

Do you know when your vehicle was built?

No updates from Ford? I agree, they should buy this thing back.

Built Dec 2014, the update is they "don't think it qualifies for buyback but they'll look into it" its bullshit.

I'd even trade for another Ford vehicle but onky if they would let me break even and not lose my ass on a trade. Just not another Stang.

Bureau of automotive may be able to offer some free legal advice as well as contact the stealership turning the table a lil more in your favor. I had to get them involved with Toyota a few cars ago, they helped alot and with in a week Toyota was fixing my stuff on there dime no more run around nor questions asked.
Hope things get better for your car and family.
