Got a new tune to test with, won't be able to dyno this one though. Will wait for a "final" tune before going back.

Also, tuner did confirm the Ford Racing CAI is going to restrict power a bit. So looks like I'll be changing cold air intakes AGAIN lol.

Steeda intakes are on sale. Was curious about this one and the CJ. Food for thought.

I know PMAS pulls out better numbers than the Steeda but don’t know if better than the custom 5” intakes.
I prefer closed intakes because it is easier to block stuff out like heat than with an open intake. Plus you can use things like Velossa to helo when you are at speed. Not sure how big of a difference those make to the OP but in hot as heck Texas, it makes a difference.

The Steeda intake gets my vote.

Maybe TJ can hook us both up with killer deal. :like:

You may as well just wait until you get another CAI before dialing it all the way in.

I vote the Steeda closed intake also. 9 sec N/A car says it works.

Just got my ported CJ setup done and doing initial logs now. I went with the BMR engine brackets to drop the motor and no NVH at all! The steeda intake fit very well and am running the 120mm insert and idle quality so far is great and slow speed driving also.

Very nice! Curious why you chose to run the insert versus without? Is drivability better with the 120mm?

Was told the 120mm insert will yield the best drivability. The 128mm and 135mm spots don't do as well because the tube is just so big. Work great at WOT though. Not sure if there is really any gain in power between the 3 sizes honestly.

You sacrifice a little power with the insert. I’ve always ran without the insert and had no drivability issues PBD tuned.

What location is your MAF sensor in? The 135mm location in the tube or the MAF location in the lid?

This is an 18+? How is the hood clearance with those mounts? You have them all the way down?

Yes, 2019. Dropped it enough to clear. Love that I didn’t get any NVH either. Great product.
