Thanks MikeO2z

Excellent list. I agree with all of it.
I would like to add:

9) I don't have to drive it in the winter.

10) I've got nothing to prove by driving it in the winter.
Thanks Jim!

I understand if people want to drive their cars all winter. For many, their GT350 may be their only car. Like you, why would I drive my pride and joy when I have more capable cars for winder. My Forester becomes a Porsche in the winter as as pass many rear wheel drive cars stuck in the snow.

I think you missed a point I made.

My car has almost full xpel ultimate. On top of that I have sealant. If I didnt xpel it, I wouldnt drive it.

The other point I want to make is, driving behind a salt truck is no different than driving behind construction dump trucks carrying asphalt and dropping tar covered rocks. Its common sense. I keep at least a mile from those trucks.

But yes, if I didnt have xpel, i wouldnt drive it. I have xpel in front, sides (doors rockers) and rear quarter panels as well as lower bumper.
XPEL provides some protection but a big enough piece of salt can still chip the paint even with PPF. As I said, to each his own. Enjoy your car no matter when you decide to drive it.

Fair enough.

What is the opinion of:
Stabil Gas / stabilzer
Stabil Oil / stabilizer

For my GT350 / 2500 miles

I am in NYC area
It will be under a covered carport
Under a car cover
Outside w trickle charger

And as far as the trickle charger should I pull the batt
and maintain charge it indoors?

Thanks!

And if anyone else has any other advice on anything else to do I am all ears.
Hey GT350/BT55

I have used Stabil in the past with no issues, but switched this year to Sea Foam Motor Treatment https://seafoamsales.com/sea-foam-motor-treatment/ which claims to also have a fuel stabilizer in it. Any opinions from the group on this product?
No experience with that product but I avoid any additives.I have stored my toys for over 15 years and never had an issue and I use no additives. Some of the offerings SeaFoam has don't really pass the sniff test for me. Others swear by SeaFoam products.

My car has the XPEL treatment as well. That stuff is tough as nails. It would have to be something sharp and the size of a golf ball to damage it. It's also self healing.

Mine had to be re done because of a couple pieces of sand were under the coating so I did some experimenting. I was shocked how it self healed.

To the guy who said grow a pair and drive it in the winter. I own a 2014 Nissan juke . That is my daily driver. I am also disabled. and can only drive on a limited basis. So I don't need to wreck my car by driving in the winter. Nice baiting me though. Ha, Ha!!!

(All of the following based on my car sitting idle for three months or so.)

So - Thanks to all of you for suggestions.
Now executing them is the problem.

I am not a mechanic, I don't know a lot about fuel other than what most people know.
What I did not know (correct me if wrong) is that all fuel sold in NJ is with Ethanol.

So, since I am being told that E10 will separate over time into three parts gas and one part jello, I am wondering what to do as far as fuel goes. I am in the Northeast corner of NJ. 1/2 west of NYC.

I got an app on my phone called "Pure-Gas" and it shows all station offering ethanol free fuel. Closest one is over the border north, all Stewarts convenience stores come up selling ethanol free gas. LOL who would think you would have get gas at Stewarts in order to get real gas.

And, ironically enough, back to my orig question, will Stabil fuel additive keep the ethanol and the gas mixed?

Thanks

Bill

That is not "a" guy.
That is "M4 Troll" trying to engage unsuspecting people in one of his inane banters. He goes by "M4 Troll" and "bummer"
