Al Gore.Al Gore has made predictions about the impacts of climate change, including rising sea levels, but he has not specifically stated that New York City would be underwater. Rising sea levels due to melting polar ice caps and thermal expansion of ocean water is a well-established scientific phenomenon and a concern for coastal cities such as New York.
The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has projected that sea levels could rise by several feet over the next century, potentially causing significant damage to coastal communities. Al Gore has been a prominent advocate for addressing climate change and has warned about the potential consequences of inaction.

$$$$That was a great read. To be honest, I forgot this guy existed until brought up in this thread.
I did a copy and paste of what you put in and got a totatally different thing:who said the world will end in 12 years due to climate change
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York stated during a congressional hearing in 2019 that "the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change." Her statement was intended to highlight the urgency of taking action to address the impacts of climate change and to raise awareness about the need for immediate and comprehensive solutions. However, the scientific consensus is that while the impacts of climate change will be significant, it is not accurate to say that the world will end in 12 years. Climate change is a complex and ongoing process, and it's not possible to predict with certainty the exact timeline or extent of its effects. Nevertheless, it is widely recognized that taking swift and decisive action is critical to mitigate the impacts of climate change and protect the planet for future generations.

My grand kids tell me the reason they don't care about the future is because the world will end in 12 years. Now I know who to blame.

I put it in 2 more times and got the same as I posted with minor changes. I'll log out and in and try again.I did a copy and paste of what you put in and got a totatally different thing:
Hello; I have seen video of both saying this. I do not know who said it first.I did a copy and paste of what you put in and got a totatally different thing:
The statement that the world will end in 12 years due to climate change is widely attributed to Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg. During a speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in 2019, Thunberg declared that "we are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!" She went on to say that scientists have warned that the world has only 11 years left to prevent irreversible damage from climate change.
This statement has since been widely quoted and referenced, and has become a rallying cry for climate nut jobs around the world.
However, it is important to note that while the effects of climate change are already being felt, and are likely to become more severe in the coming years, the idea that the world will "end" in 12 years is an overstatement. The effects of climate change will be complex and far-reaching, and the world will likely end in about 20 years. It is important to take meaningful action to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change, and to work towards a more sustainable and resilient future. That includes supporting and buying EVs. This is the way.
There is no way past the fact you must fill the battery with the amount of energy you will use. A battery is a chemical, or soon to be solid state gas tank. To charge a 100 kilowatt hour battery in 10 minuets will take lightning bolt amounts of power.Thing is it will be good to have an alternative transportation choice once the problems are worked out.
Improving battery technology and developing new charging infrastructure will be necessary to achieve such fast charging times in the future. There is no way past the fact you must fill the battery with the amount of energy you will use. yea, I seee this working on a mass scale......NOT!
Even with all the problems I could see using a BEV if it made sense. It does for when I am on the golf course or running around my gated community .
In the future is all I hear about this. We have been developing battery tech for over 100 years. Not much improvement.Improving battery technology and developing new charging infrastructure will be necessary to achieve such fast charging times in the future.
A lot has changed over 100 years. Be for real....In the future is all I hear about this. We have been developing battery tech for over 100 years. Not much improvement.
Again you can't get past the capacity and fill rate. If you have a 20 unit charging station all pulling 100 Kw for 15 min what does that look like to the grid?
The HF welder I used to oversee ran at 200 Kw's and that is a scary amount of power, not to mention the electric bill we paid.
Hello; Yes, you are correct. The rapid charge in minutes at those power levels are going to be the goal in order to try to match the easy fill-up of an ICE.There is no way past the fact you must fill the battery with the amount of energy you will use. Ok, explain it to me, how do you get 100Kwh into a battery in say 20 min?You can easily get past the capacity and fill rate. You don't have a clue.
That is the only thing that equals the amount of power that these fast chargers will use.HF welder? Really? Gee... lol
