This thread has vastly strayed from its origins. Maybe we can go ahead and close it.
Hello; And we come to it. Getting a thread closed is the tactic when losing the discussion. Divert it into a questionable area and do not have to see the "pet EV's " become decimated with logic.

No there’s just posts that don’t need to be on here that have 0 to do with the topic at hand. If we can stay on topic I don’t care to keep this open but we need to keep it on track. I think that the EV v ICE has had good arguments pro/con this far.

California cuts payments to homeowners for solar panels feeding energy back to the grid (msn.com)

Hello; saw something along this line on local news a few days ago. Seems some homeowners in TN signed up with a solar panel company with the idea the panels would save them money on the electric bill.
The local TV station interviewed a home owner. His bill had been around $400/ month before the panels. Now the bill is around $300/month with a $200/ month payment to the solar company. It was not clear as to the why the panels were not delivering the power expected.
Maybe poor quality equipment? Maybe poor quality instillation? I think there are several homes with the same problem from the same company.

We have looked at a couple of set ups that would allow us to disconnect from the grid. We have that option where I’m at. We can petition the city but we can’t get a guarantee of how the panels will do and once installed we are stuck with them they won’t refund anything if they don’t work according to our needs. Why we haven’t pulled the trigger on them.

I've read that solar panels come with a performance guarantee/warranty. Maybe that is certain states.

Return is measured in 10/20/30 years not months or first couple of years. In other words what you noted above could be in line to what the manufacture promised... depending on how the numbers work. Does not look good with the limited info you provided but over a 25 year period, might be just fine.

Homes with solar also sell higher.

You could be right about poor installation, etc...

Hello; Nice try but falls short. You try to dismiss my post because you say I do not have enough proof to suit you. Thing is you have even less proof among your dismissal comments.

Did'nt, we go thru one of you "not enough proof" ploys recently over the counting of Covid deaths? The ploy is well known and is losing effect.

10Investigates: Knoxville-based solar company 'downsizing due to major issues' with parts from supplier | wbir.com

Hello; Since you attempted to cast doubts and thus dismiss my post I will play the game for a bit. You try to disparage my honesty any time I post something you do not favor. It becomes a give me proof game. Back in the Covid discussions we who posted stuff you did not favor were met with the same game.
If we came up with links to back up our claims the next level from you and your pals was to say the source of the links(s) is not good enough. Not enough merit with you and yours somehow elevating yourselves to be the only judges of that merit.

But again, thanks for providing another good example of how you approach these things. I saw right away where you were going today after you latched onto a comment made by a posting member about being "politically incorrect". You and your pals kept baiting him to comment further apparently in the hope he will get in trouble. We who know you have seen it before several times.

Goodbye; I have no idea what you are talking about with "nice try" and other non-sense. Covid? Really? What is the point of bringing that up here? You still salty about getting kicked out the thread? Damn.... Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!!! lol

I simply pointed out a fact you might want to consider... these things have a return on investment not measured in weeks or days. Could it be faulty equipment or install like you said? Sure... anything is possible. Not dismissed anything you said... nor do I care to do that. You want every thread to be "us against them" for some reason. Move on....

Looking at the Formula 1 talk thread, you are on a roll (and not in a good way). Maybe time for you to backup from the keyboard and take a couple of days off. Sure something can be arranged.

Hello; Cute. Guess I touched a nerve. Thing is even tho my comments apparently went over your head, many other will understand exactly. You are a known quantity by now.

Got to love some of it tho. You diss me for bringing up the Covid death counting as a "what is the point", then throw in the F1 thread from left field.

OK, move on back to the topic of the thread which was exactly what i was doing when i posted my recent links. One of which you had to challenge. Challenge answered with a link to the TV10 news story which by the way you have so far ignored.

Goodbye; Wow.... I'm living in your head without even trying.

No.... I didn't "challenge you"... that is insane... I made a fairly generic comment. You can't make this stuff up! ha ha ha....

I love it. Anyway, have a good one... you made my night!

Matty Cash has Polish grandparents which makes him eligible to play for Poland.

Standard claim of a racist is that they aren't, but then demonstrate they are
Have you ever lived of worked in Africa ? It always baffles me when my countrymen from Europe seem to know so much about rights, equality, what’s correct and what’s not, and labelling a racist when they have never lived/ worked in Africa.
Before calling Vlad ignorant etc, do you know his background really? Have you walked in his shoes ?
You know what they say about opinions right ? They are like arseholes, we all have one.

Djibouti and up and down Western Africa hunting bad guys. If I never go back it’ll be too soon. Anyone that hasn’t gone to Africa doesn’t understand that Africans look at rights equality and political correctness as a western weakness. All nations that operate under tribalism understand 1 thing power and how easily it can be dispatched. Much like like the majority of Muslims who will not accept western culture Africans for the most part won’t either.
Done with my rant.

My son works in Morocco.

Not sure how the eligibility of French football players because of their grandparents origin got to this? The person in question said he didn't believe French people of African descent should play for the national team. He wasn't talking about equality and rights in Africa. I have based my assessment of him on what he has said on this forum, which has been very clear.
