I just asked because there’s a lot of people who like to virtue signal. But wanted to get your opinion and I’m glad that I did. Now any argument you make as to the betterment of society through electric vehicle is null and void. You’re in it for yourself and that’s ok as everyone else is. It’s called hypocrisy. Simple concept most can grasp.
Ironic that the very point I made to point out YOUR hypocrisy is fired back at me!

If that was way above your head it doesn't surprise me.

If my views are null and void you had better ignore me from now on

Why this is fun 😂 listen I don’t virtual signal For all intents and purposes this world could be made into an used match stick and I’m neither here nor there with it.

Edit: You can’t point out to one post in this thread about me pushing any agenda about saving the world through green energy or otherwise. 👍🏼

Back on topic solid state EV batteries will be in use by Toyota and Honda in 2 years time.

All those complaining about slavery in Lithium mines will be able to rest easy, whilst still buying Lithium polymer batteries for their phones of course ...
Toyota’s 2021 Solid State Battery: What You Need To Know (insideevs.com)

"It is worth noting, though, that solid state batteries are known to not perform too well in cold temperatures and their long-term durability was also brought into question in the past. Toyota has not specifically mentioned these two aspects in any of its press releases on the matter, but these have certainly been at least two of the challenges the manufacturer faced in creating solid state batteries designed for longer term use."

"Solid state batteries still need lithium to work, so even with a complete shift form current battery tech to solid state, we won’t escape the need to keep mining this element. The Japanese government will also help companies with procuring lithium, given the fact that the element is in limited global supply."🤔🤔🤔

On the contrary it was YOU that posted about Lithium mining and slavery. Your agenda?

I pointed out that your argument was flawed, even by your own actions

I think you will find it is virtue signalling not virtual!

That was great... reminded me when I was at work 10 years ago. I was trying to decide to put something in the trash or blue recycling bin. The janitor just so happen to wander in and I asked if I could put whatever crap I had in my hand in the blue bin.

He said, "It does not matter. Both go into the same bag. The trash bag. The bins are there to make people feel good."

I always get a good laugh out of that story...

My how this guy can twist things around. Yes AZlb5.0 mentioned slave like mining and also child labor I believe. However, the references were not to support his agenda or any agenda best as i can figure. Those of us who favor ICE have little at stake in the mining for minerals to make EV batteries.
I think the point is the push for a Green and EV future so far depends on these rare minerals. The sad fact seems to be some available deposits happen to be in places where semi-slave and child labor is tolerated.
There is a balance sheet in these things. On the one hand fossil fuels do emit some carbon in their use along with some other combustion gasses. This seems to be the overriding fault of an ICE.
The EV 's also are responsible for carbon emissions simply because electricity is still largely generated with fossil fuels.
Oil is more than a source of gagoline, kerosine and diesel. Roads are paved with it. Plastics of all kinds are made into a multitude products. This seems a positive. That we treat many plastics as one time use products to be thrown away is not the fault of the plastics.

I could come up with a ratio of benefits-damages for things like carbon emissions. I cannot find a suitable way to balance out slave wage or child labor. I do understand which agenda is currently promoting an uptick in child and slave wage labor.

I realize Gregs has me on ignore. This is more for my own purposes.

I trailer our garbage to the local city dump. 25 dollars to throw all our garbage out. I do that on a weekly basis. When I first started going there, I asked if they had recycling bins and if it was mandatory to separate your garbage. They said no, that recycling is done by choice if we wanted to, but if we threw it all out in the same area it would all get buried the same. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hello; You nailed it two ways. One for the video. Another for calling out the hypocrites on this thread. May have to start watching Bill again. He may be coming back to his senses.

We know that this whole green agenda is for controlling the populace. Trying to make people feel bad about polluting the planet. Yeah I’m not that guy🤣👊🏼

If you could point out the hypocrisy, that would be appreciated. Given that I’m fairly confident that you don’t actually know the exact positions of other people, and instead are just assuming that they hold certain beliefs, it could be fun.

Go ahead, tell me what I believe.

Hello; After reading posts for a year or few for some on here i get a pretty good picture of their norms and values. Figuring the hypocrisy can be done by reading a series of posts.

You have a tactic I do not know the name for. When in a corner you ask the why don't we all prove something. Can we go back and find a post. If we can point out the hypocrisy. Those sorts of statements.

LMFAO.
My question was very simple.
You have a tactic of avoiding questions when they’re uncomfortable or perhaps might expose that you’re actually just jumping to conclusions.

Would you like me to spell out my position for you so that you can more accurately accuse me of hypocrisy?
I’m more than happy to do it.

Sk47 will never have a "position". Last year he was all about "saving the planet". Remember? He said too many people were on earth, that is why he didn't have kids, didn't care if more Americans died of COVID, drove a Toyota, etc....

Couple of posts back he was talking about losing power in his area... like it was a constant occurrence. It was a one-time event... he even apologized because I would not leave it alone. Heck, when I mentioned the power station upgrades in his area, he was surprised.... all he could say was "interesting".

In other words, he has his own "agenda"... it is why he keeps posting the same stuff over and over. It has nothing to do with electricity, EVs, minerals, etc....
