That's weird. I've been driving turbo cars for a loooong time, minus a few years with the Cobra, and they were all perfectly reliable, faster, and more enjoyable than any N/A car I've ever driven. To each their own though.

This forum spreads the fear of engine failures to a very large extent. Not every EB is prone to go "Boom", but stupid mods and tunes are likely to cause any engine's longevity to suffer. Can we get back to commenting on the 3.7 Cyclone's power potential in that race car?

Yes back to the topic at hand! At some point I hope to purchase the ported intake manifolds from supersix... I also want to look into why they relocated the throttle body. I am curious if it was just done for space reasons or if it has a measurable performance bump because of the increased plenum volume.

I actually did a similar TB extention on my car, in the attempt to increase plenum, and have a straight intake. it ended up costing me .1 and 1mph, there MAY have been a tiny gain real low, but it suffered up top, I even had torrie do a tune for it after a data log, and saw no improvement. I think they did this mod mostly to have that killer raam air box/scoop setup...

Well the thing to also note is that they are using the previous gen upper intake. Hard to say if it does have a benefit but I am willing to bet it does (for the previous gen upper intake).

While we are all looking at the peak HP value here, nothing has been said about torque which arguably is more important in a street car....
