Hasn't anyone figured out the length of the j-pipe needed for our 5.0s to elminate drone?

It would just take someone, anyone, over the last 5 years to either measure the j-pipe on an exhaust that uses J-pipes (like SOLO), or using the formula posted online to find and cancel out the frequency that causes drone.

It's a used one from a Corsa catback. The dude didnt need it, and claims it's a 3". We shall see lol. Should be here by end of the week.

After some further research, i have concluded its a 2.5" pipe. Not very happy right now lol. I am hoping we can use some bottleneck adapters to mate it all up. Stay tuned.

I just hope where it mates to the axle back it's the same position. I haven't seen any H or X pipes that join where the gibson does right by the diff. Most of them spread out farther.

If length is an issue, we can cut it. Otherwise, i think the adapters should take care of it?. I'll swing it by my guy's shop and see what he thinks before we even take a stab at it.

Just did this with Vibrant 1795 18" resonators. Waiting on new SS lap band clamps from Jegs before firing it up, but it fits nicely!

Did the same thing except used dynomax race bullets, you should be happy with the results and cure your drone issue.

Still rolling with mine and need to do this. But, as it is not my daily driver, there has been no rush.

I finally got the clamps in yesterday and got to drive her. The drone is SO MUCH BETTER! The resonators also removed some of the raspiness causing vibration in the exhaust, and therefore making my entire dashboard buzz. I'm not seeing anything huge in the frequency captures that should account for the change (same part of same road, same speed, AC on) but I'll take it! Plots attached for anyone who cares...
