So I was cruising around and suddenly my steering became stiff like im driving in the mud. I scanned the car and it shows Code u0415. Dealer and a shop i brought the car into can't figure out for the love of god why my steering is like that. After a while A/C codes also came recirculation damper motor mechanical fault and short to ground i think from the actuator. I brought it to the dealer again to fix the A/C issue and after they fixed it, for some reason code u0415 is gone but the A/C codes remained as well as the stiff steering. I dont know what else to do. Please help

PS. I have a new battery and also had the dealer change my wheel speed sensors. The shop I brought it into also cleaned everything and checked wirings as well as the wheel hub but they said there's nothing wrong.

I had a similar issue once. I was driving on a mountain road gettin it when all of a sudden my steering felt like it locked up. It didn’t though, it just got really hard to turn. The power steering is electric and the power wire somehow wigged loose enough that it lost connection. The electric power steering is connected to the abs module. You should look at the connections to the power rack and pinion steering, check the wires for damage, check the power steering fuse, the steering angle sensor.
