I never mentioned you in my post, but your response is what we call the hit dog yelps. And you're a mind reader, because in a earlier post on my oil pump install I mentioned that I'm installing my CJ Intake and t-body this week! But I'll need to run 8s before I logo the car with CJ. I have no interest in IRS, but I don't tell road course people it's stupid and fake, it's what they like and ultimately all types of interest benefits the existence of the Mustang. I understand you don't like and why, but the fact is if you own a Coyote S550 that duration and overlap is already in your car, kind of like your interior light it comes on the way Ford programmed it to, but you can also active it at your leisure if you wish, just like your radiator fan can be activated at an earlier time, as it's your car and you do as you please.Enjoy your rice. Make sure you add a cobrajet logo to your car while your at it. If your car is going to run 11s it should look like it too.
I totally agree with you, but the Ghost is only at idle not 1,800 rpms. IDK the rpm window that it operates in, but I'm sure it's extremely small. And what's great with this modern stuff is you can undo all this as you still has your previous tunes saved, I know I do, I keep them for different scenarios.I have to disagree slightly. While a cammed out v8 sounds incredible, it's not optimum. Low speed drive ability sucks. Terribly. Yes, I still have a cammed out pushrod 302 (in a Shelby replica) with a big cam.
The beauty of these motors is you get the high rpm performance without the low speed (rpm) drive ability issues and drop in economy. The resultant sound, while music to the ears, is the effect of inefficient cam timing at that rpm. I'll pass cause I love the low speed drive ability that comes from decreasing overlap and still get the top end hp from more.
Some people consider it rice to be posing of having big cams. I don't necessarily agree with that, cause it would depend on what it would sound like when both cams are straight up. It might cut up like a mofo. Who knows.
While I wouldn't run one simply due to the loss of efficiently and drive ability, I understand the desire. But the again, it's my daily and I have a real cammed out pushrod motor to go listen to when the need arises.
lol, i went back and watched the entire thing, At first i thought it was a serious video until i kept going.. man did they go one and on with that one. Funny though, Very Tall Engine CoolantYou don't say.
I suspect the guy asking questions was in on it as well.
I guess all Mustangs since 1996 are ricers, because they have overhead cams like a Honda basically we're running two 4 cyl engines lol. Hopefully this is seen as a joke, as I've worked on Stangs since the Windsor 289, sometimes it's tough with big changes in a car that you're use to, but I've learned no matter how bad it is there's always a sawzall and a welder to fix it lol.so I put cat back exhaust on my car. Does this make me a ricer? If not then what's the difference. If I go this route I'll have about 450 to the wheels. Thats not good enough to have a cam tune. I just don't Understand what's the big deal. What ricer sounds like a ghost cam tune car. If I can get the sound without spending another 1500 in just parts them I'm ok with it. Good luck to all you really people out there!
I put the "Ghost Cam" tune on my car on last Monday, and I took it off this morning. Rolling on the throttle with that tune on was a chore when creeping though bumper to bumper traffic; I had to get the car above 1200 to 1300 RPMs to get a smooth start. After three days of driving like that, I considered removing it, and by Sunday it was definitely on my "to do list".I have to disagree slightly. And here I love having a manual, but now I see I have to give it up to reclaim my 'manhood'....But I also don't think that my opinion is the only right one like 90% of the people here (especially the manual lovers that are so lacking in manhood that they claim yours if you disagree).
