I agree that from the looks of it, it appears to be oil but here is why I think it is mostly fuel. I had just driven the car from work about 3 hours previous to taking this picture. I have been checking this cylinders spark plug regularly for a pattern and every time that I do, the ground strap is always wet with gasoline. That looks like oil, not fuel. Gas is pretty much clear. Looks like you have quite a bit of oil getting into the cylinder. I'd do a compression test right away.
If that were oil on the piston, it would have had to have come from the valve train most likely. I see no oil smoke out the exhaust and the cylinder smells strongly of fuel. My guess is that either the DI injector or Port injector is bleeding fuel into the cylinder after I shut the engine off. Their may very well be some oil in that but I wonder if the fuel looks that way becuase it has absorbed combustion by-products from the cylinder walls and piston top.
I have an appt with my dealer next wednesday. I think I have enough evidence that something(s) are wrong.
