For conversation purposes, what gauges are you monitoring be it on the street or track.

Speaking of gauges, I just got a set of GT350 Oil Pressure and Temperature gauges for my Mach1 HP! Now I just need the car.

For conversation purposes, what gauges are you monitoring be it on the street or track.

For conversation purposes - right from the start I put there the engine head temp, the engine oil pressure and battery voltage. I do not track the car, but still like looking at the gauges when driving, especially the engine head temp, or the battery.

Axle temperature, cylinder head temperature and voltage.

I occasionally glance over at the oil pressure gauge in the middle of the dash.

Indicators other than the "usual" I like:

1. The shift indicator "beep".
2. Blind Spot Indicator.

I really like to keep an eye on the plutonium gauge.

same here. Not sure what engine head temp will help me with? Is that like coolant info? Wished for OIL TEMP instead.

a flux capacitor gauge might be more useful the the vacuum gauge for NA guys

Ya, it's worthwhile. You can set it up in the menus.

Today for example, I was letting Skye off the leash while looking all around for other drivers and especially the Police. I enjoy having the beep available so I don't momentarily break concentration to look down at the tach.

Right now I run the AF ratio, head coolant temp, and water temp. I’m replacing my center gauges with mechanical oil pressure and oil temperature.

It's funny, I've gotten 2 emails for my 2004 Mustang ad on craigslist from a guy named SkyeWraith, any relation? He wants me to bring him the car but doesn't want to pay for it till next year. here's the email: Hello, i am interested in tje car... If you could drive it out to me that would be perfect... I would have the money by next year if you are still selling it by then.

I do take mine to the track, I have Diff/Axle temp, CHT and Coolant temp. Being I have a GT Prem PP I have the oil and vacuum gauges in the dash already.

Not sure what engine head temp will help me with?

My layman understanding is that the engine temp is the critical operating parameter, which, in normal cars you can only observe indirectly, through the coolant water temp (or the engine oil temp). So even if the other indirect systems fails, you still get the info about the engine temp, right before it explodes .
