Ok guys just got my mustang and previously I was a classic car guy so no computer. With that said.

Looking at adding the triple gauge pod with Oil Pressure, A/F, Boost. Do these need to be mechanical or electrical from computer or mixture or what???

Thanks, and I may become a pain in the butt with questions being new to Mustangs and onboard computers

I haven't seen a triple gauge pod yet for the S550, only a dual.

Most gauges wont go through OBDII (the computer), only a few like the nGauge, which wouldn't fit in a normal gauge pod anyway.

Oil pressure and Boost would have it's own sensors that come with the gauge that you would install. As well as A/F although that is already shown with the factory sensors both on the center screen and with an OBDII gauge.

Speaking of, you may be interested in an OBDII gauge like the nGauge, which can monitor up to 6 things at once through the factory sensors. Although you will still need aftermarkets for Boost and Oil Press.

Personally I plan on putting an nGauge in the center vent and then the above dual gauge pod in the A pillar with aftermarket gauges. Best of both worlds!

Sorry I think I have this in the wrong place. Is this forum just for 2015? I have a 2005.
