Only thing is that the buttons will be on the passenger side, not driver :frusty:
That's ok - it would keep the bonnet release company.

My Merlin garage door has a fairly specific remote, but it's still key fob size. My solution was to order an extra one and tape it using double sided velcro tape (so I can get it off easily if needed), upside down with the buttons toward the front, under the rear of the drivers side door handle (and back a bit). It is actually really easy to reach, easy to press the button and is 100% invisible unless you know its there and feel for it. Sorted!!

The bonnet release is on the passenger side too?
Mate, the joke is the handbrake, the bonnet release is the punchline.

let me get this right - you guys live in houses? And you have separate garage..with automated doors? :eyebulge:

I live in Sydney apartment block, which is probably older than the mustang bloodline itself. There are two big giant gates with a key each to open.

The first one works with dingy little remote, takes ages to open but once open, I have to drive my car in and park it on the slope, run out of the car, put 2nd garage key in, turn it manually, the gate starts to open, I run back into the car, settle down, remove handbrake, slowly drive down short slope and then park into my spot. All this while praying no one else is trying to get in or out cause my car will take the entire drive way. All this drama with rental cars, I get nightmares thinking about parking my mustang, when it gets here.

easy peasy :frusty:

So it just turned up. Very simple to program and works a treat.

I velcroed mine under the drivers side inner door handle as well...only mine is underneath and in front of the handle. As YLDHRS suggested, it is invisible and easy to get too. I initially had it laying in the rear cup holder, but that was a pain to get to.

@Drewbo when am I fixing your decklid :headbonk:

Hammer and duct tape ready.

I'm actually going to have a close look in the morning.

I suspect that either a) one or more of the clips near the camera isn't secured properly or b) that someone snapped off a clip or two whilst attempting to realign it pre-delivery.

Could be as simple as giving it a firm shove, but I'm yet to work up the courage.

Oh boy garage remotes, mine was playing up last night, took ages to open, finally opened and as I drove in the remote decides to tell the door to come back down, big arse scratches from windscreen back on the roof, big scuff through the paint. Loving life
