Im deciding between this one and MAPs CAI. Ecosnake how well has your CAI done in Temp difference? Butt dyno/actual dyno results? Overall impressions on quality and fitment? Thanks

Definitely louder - you can hear the whoosh of the turbo quite clearly. As for seat of the pants dyno? Honestly? Nothing really. I'm sure it'll help when I get a custom tune for the car, though. Also, I'm learning I suck at driving this car, lol, so that could be it, too. Need to practice more.

Maybe someone could post a sound clip?
I really wanna jump in on this but I'm curious as to how much louder it makes the turbo and BPV sound. I don't mind hearing the turbo spool up but I don't really want to hear a Darth Vader like breathing every time I get on or off the throttle. Got tired of my previous car sounding just like that.

Its going to sound the same as all the other open element intakes. I'm sure there's a video in the CAI thread.

Does it come with a plug like the JLT for open air venting?

Why? I know on Subaru it was actually bad to vent to the atmosphere. The ecu expected the recirc and atmospheric venting caused problems

Subaru's are MAF based systems. These cars are speed density (MAP) based. You can vent a speed density car without any issues.

So that begs the question, why did Ford do a recirc system then?

Increased pressure for turbo to avoid lag. It's not really a system designed for performance. A better option would have been to dump the excess through the exhaust IMO.
