LOL I like that thinking, otherwise thread is going pretty much as I expected ....Since it is an American car use American fuel. eg: Jack Daniels
You've never seen a fuel thread on this entire forum? You are $h#%ing me right?Countless threads about oil, the life blood. I do not believe I have ever seen a thread about what you're feeding the beast.
So what's the best fuel ?
pep
Indeed, writing this message from 2030. Sorry guys, no more Mustang V8s in the future.Do you get 1.21 gigawatts of rear wheel HP?
2.3L EcoBoost and 5.0L V8 Engines We recommend regular unleaded gasoline with a pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87. Some stations offer fuels posted as regular with an octane rating below 87, particularly in high altitude areas. We do not recommend fuels with an octane rating below 87. To provide improved performance, we recommend premium fuel for severe duty usage, such as trailer tow.
Same here, but I'll use Sam's if I'm in the area. Almost exclusively Costco (combination of convenience and WAY cheaper (currently $2.65 today). I'm surprised how well the Stage3 93 tune is working - it fixed a sag in part-throttle acceleration that was noticeable in the Stage2 tune.Costco 93. Top tier and always fresh. Shell if no Costco is around.
Well you can't develop a proof for something's that subjective, like is something worth the extra money to a given person.I simply ask ok show me the proof that higher octane gas makes a difference worth the money?
Wawa has both 91 & 93 depending on area. When I was in Monroe Township NJ all they had was 91. Neither is Top Tier.Last I saw in Gloucester county, Wawa had 91 Octane. Basically peasant water. Do they have 93 by you?
Every time I fill up I say Iām going to throw a tank of 87 in just for the hell of it. Then when I go to push the 87 button a strong wind comes up and pushes my hand over to the 93 button. Strangest damned thing.Well you can't develop a proof for something's that subjective, like is something worth the extra money to a given person.
Maybe it more boils down to which attitude one tends to take on things:
1. I just spent a lot of money on a car so I'm gonna try to save money on gas.
2. I just spent a lot of money on a car so why would I try to save money on gas.
I guess I tend to fall into the 2nd group. If I wanted to save money on gas I could've just gotten something a lot more fuel efficient.
