Do you think FRPP will release a TracKey calibration for the GT350 like they did for the Boss 302?

I did have one salesperson mention that but, I just figured they were making an assumption from the Boss 302.

I don't think they will but I also don't really care. I think the 'Red Key' settings should be the standard, no point is a soft mode in a car like the GT350.

Boss Track Key was a joke, it added no performance benefits as testing later showed, but it did reduce your engine warranty. Sounds like a Win for Ford ;) Yes I had a 12 Boss.

It would be nice to get a "decent" Ford tune and have the exhaust default to open each time you used the "red" key. We all know Ford will leave power on the table with the "stock" tune. Heck, even the TracKey tune will be conservative. ;)

It didn't. There was a case where documentation said it would reduce motor warranty to one year but in practice it didn't play that way.

Subsequent documentation was fixed.

It did drop the entire powertain warranty to 36/36,000.

I had it on my Boss and while it didn't make any peak power differences it did provide more low-mid range power and additional throttle response.

And it wasn't any faster around the race track or on any dyno I saw. Throttle response is just going non linear with faster tip in, I personally hate a non linear throttle as it is harder to modulate on the track.

Ehhhh the 3/36 reduction was only if the TK was to blame for the error otherwise the 5/60 was still in effect. It was a debacle.

I'd rather not deal with having to find a Ford shop to putz with an ECU. In my area I got the run around time and time again about the TK for Boss.

Just give me all the goodies out the gate this time, please.

Is a track key all that necessary in a car that has different driving modes available at the flip of a switch? (I realize the base doesn't come with the IDC so I guess it could benefit from such a thing)

Boy, calling it a "joke" is a bit aggressive IMHO. I exclusively now drive with TrackKey (as does many of my Boss owner buddies). Engine breaking, lopey idle, and changing over 200 engine management parameters, etc etc sure does add to the excitement of driving a Boss. I think Ford was giving back more of a 1969/1970 experience to the owners - calling that a joke is, well, aggressive. I would say that it would have been awesome to give the Boss a better tune and higher redline with the red key, but expecting that from Ford is reaching. I'd say, thank you to Ford for introducing a low cost super cool feature for the Boss Owners.
